can i use this device to detect rodents or rats or mice or cats behind walls ?

Hello,Thank you for your message.This item should detect a live source of heat (not dead) - it does not see through walls. It depends on the heat differential, and the thickness of the walls. It reads the radiant heat off of a surface - so if the wall and animal are the same temperature, there will be no difference.
