Big, roomy and comfortable
Great bag. Very spacious, well made, beautiful color and fabric. Comfortable to wear. Holds a ton of stuff. Has a lot of pockets and compartments. Laptop no problem. Can be used as a weekender bag if you want or a commuter backpack, carry on, whatever you need. Only thing I can’t figure out about it is that Osprey made an opening in the back for a water bladder but no way to hang it if you wanted to use it as a day bag for hiking. Why not include a little piece of Velcro or a cheap plastic hook? Makes no sense. Otherwise I really like this bag a lot. I use it mostly for trips as a carry on or weekender and it works well. Kind of big for a day bag for sight seeing but if you have to carry a lot of stuff for the family it probably would be perfect. Nice big water bottle pockets on both sides too. Straps are pretty comfy even when loaded down. Osprey knows how to make a good pack that fits well.

This backpack is a sneaky and brilliant sac
I looked online and in-person for the biggest possible "personal item" and every day backpack for walking around the city with heavy stuff on my back. I have shoulder problems and city packs are usually great for pockets and items but they aren't so great for your body and back. This pack has it all. I read some reviews about this pack that honestly didn't make any sense, so that's why I'm leaving a review. By the way, I bought two bags so I can say they both are exactly the same. 1. The back opens into a clam and it's super easy to deal with. 2. The shoulder straps are so comfortable and the additional TWO support chest and waist straps really take the brunt of pain off of you. That alone is worth the price of this bag. 3. This bag can be small or huge. That was the main reason I picked this bag. You can stuff it under a seat IF, NOT IF, it's not stuffed to the guild. No one would think it was anything other than a normal backpack. If you want to use it as a personal item, just don't stuff it. That said, when you're ready or you can stuff it for a carry on item (not a personal), this thing can REALLY fill out. It's more than an overnight pack. You can get days worth of stuff in there. I got to 20kg and it still had room and space. 4. It's really logical for being on the go in the city. Don't get me wrong, it could do great for a hiking pack as well, but this is the city persons hiking bag all the way. Little pockets, water bottles on the side, jack/front pouch for whatever. It just works and it feels like an accessory to yourself. Hands down, best backpack I've every owned.

“Osprey Quality at Its Best”
The Osprey Nebula is hands down the best everyday backpack I’ve owned. The build quality is excellent—durable materials, sturdy zippers, and a design that feels both sleek and practical. The organization is outstanding with plenty of pockets and compartments to keep everything in place, including a padded laptop sleeve that provides real peace of mind. It’s extremely comfortable to wear, even when fully loaded, thanks to the supportive straps and breathable back panel. Whether for commuting, travel, or daily use, this bag hits the mark perfectly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile backpack!

Good quality, intuitive design
Best backpack I've ever owned. Very intuitive design. I use this for a 16" laptop and supplies to travel for a few days at a time. It's mostly comfortable, objectively better than most and it breathes well. The laptop sleeve/compartment is rigid and protective, the laptop itself is suspended above the bottom of the bag so if you were to drop it onto its bottom, theoretically, it will not damage the laptop. There are some other zippered sleeves/pockets within the laptop compartment but it gets tight so other than a few small papers and the laptop itself, you probably won't get much out of it. But remember, I'm using a big and heavy 16" gaming laptop so it may be more useful if you have a small laptop. I also love the outermost cinchedown compartment. Super convenient for items you want to grab quickly without dealing with zippers and fumbling through other items inside the bag. Can be loose enough to roll up a hoodie or tightened down as securely as you need. Only downsides are that the sunglasses compartment could be softer, and the waist strap is basically useless. The chest strap is great though!

Great Bag
My son asked for this backpack to help him organize his items for school. He's very pleased with it. Many compartments and the bag opens up and fits the laptop perfectly. It's comfortable and exactly what he was looking for!

Good quality material - Design Could use Minor Changes
I rate this five stars because it is nice quality. I am very picky and vision impaired. So, my pack is like my car in that I carry my umbrella, reflective vest, and other things I'll need on the way to the store etc. This pack is almost perfect but it loses points for the stuff sack on the back. It is made of nice mesh but reminded me of a loose tube sock. It is not professional looking to have a mesh sack on the back as it is like a laundry bag. Plus any pack with a u shaped stuff pocket pointing up is forgetting that sometimes it rains. How is a u shaped stuff pocket going to avoid collecting rain in a down pour. I know it had a little fabric over hang but when the pack is not fully stuffed the loose sock part takes effect and it could collect leaves or rain water. To fix this simply put the comet out side design instead of the mesh stuff bag. Next there is a flaw in both the comet and the Nebula although I am keeping the Nebula. That flaw is the grab handle at the top of the pack. When the pack is on its belly it is hard to grab the handle as it is hidden and oriented verticlly by your neck. It is supposed to be layed horizontally on the top of the back pack so it can be easily grabbed even if the pack is on its belly under a plane seat. I would have gon with the Nebula had it had the all zippered design without the stuff sack on the outside as it was a nice sized pack. Ultimately I am against any pack that has a open u shaped pocket for holding helmets or whatever as it would also collect rain. I do like the extra handle on the comet though but still the very top handle is not oriented in the right place in order to pick it up when the bag is on its belly.

Great quality
For me perfect traveling backpack to CARRY on airplane in addition to a small suitcase. Well-made and the second bag that I’ve had the first one lasted over 20 years.

An all rounder - versatile
Have had this since Dec '25. Very versatile with many useful zipped pockets, external space for a flask. Hoop for a rear light or geological hammer. Loads of capacity. Strong straps, strong hard wearing external shower proof material. A great all rounder which I really recommend. I have a Quasar rucksack too, but the Nebula is better and much more versatile. I can't fault it.

Versatile
Very comfortable and the pockets inside the backpack are well organised. I think that if you were to buy one backpack for everything, this should be the one.
