Costs more but I knew it was going to work when I got it. I've taken chances with "compatible" cartridges that never work right. Sticking with the OM from now on.

I really want to use Brother products. Especially with ink toner/cartridge since I’m very particular about print quality. I read a lot of print material and better put: I’m a piano accompanist it is important to be able to read clearly and accurately the sheet music that I’m playing

Disregarding the high price, the actual Brothers ink cartridges have never caused a problem. Once I bought what I thought was Brothers, but was another brand (similar packaging), --they're not the same, even though they claim to be a cheaper alternative. Just purchase carefully.

I have had different printers and ink cartridges, I picked the brothers printer I have now because the ink cartridges were supposed to be less expensive than most other brands and I am not disappointed as I do allot of photography and there ink is not only cheaper but the quality of the ink is great, this goes for all the color ones as well which I purchased as one pack, the larger sizes last longer also

This is a good product and lasts for quite a while.
