Perfect for young grandson.

I started reading this book at 5 years old, and it was my favorite book. I now consider (as an adult) that this is the finest American book period. It is a good introduction to the complex tale in Melville's classic Americana, Moby-Dick.While I was atypical for a child, this book should belong to every kid. It is the finest literature made, period, in an abridged, illustrated version that any kid 8 and up should be able to handle.

My 10 year old is finding interest in classic novels. So far he loves this. He's special needs and the chapters are condensed and the print is slightly larger than usual.
