Does it sync time automatically? And how long the battery last?

Dear, this clock cannot sync time automatically. The batteries should be AA non-rechargeable battery and would last about more than 6 months.

how do I adjust the day ? It is one day behind- ie: it says Saturday and today is Sunday

Normally, when the date is correct but not day, the year of clock maybe is incorrect. You can press the TIME SET button one time, then you can see whether the year is wrong. The steps will help you to correct the year.when you press the TIME SET 2 second, the clock will enter setting mode and the figure on the screen will flash. You can continue to click 4 time and then you will see the YEAR set(the frist three times are set DST,hour system,hour and minute). After this step, you can see the YEAR flash on the screen,then you can click 【up】and 【down】to set the corect year. When you are done with the above steps, you can set it aside and it will automatically exit setup mode later.

Can this clock work in Asian countries (India)?

Of course! You set the time and date. There is no geographical setting. It's a simple large screen clock that can be powered by 4 AA batteries.
