The future is hereโ and my floors never looked cleaner!!
I just got my Roborock Saros Z70 and can confidently say it's one of the most impressive robotic vacuums Iโve owned โ from the setup, to the app, to the navigation and cleaning power. But, what sets this apart from the other robotic vacuumsโฆ the super cool robotic arm! Setup and Navigation: Initial setup was straightforward with the Roborock app, and the mapping process was fast and accurate. Within minutes, it had created a detailed floor plan of my home. (Donโt look at map on my videoโ that was before I mapped the house because I was excited to play around with the robotic arm!). The navigation is incredibly precise. It maneuvers around shoes, pet bowls, and even cluttered areas without getting stuck. I especially appreciate how it identifies common obstacles and doesnโt just bump into them blindly like my older and far inferior robotic vacuums. Cleaning Power: The vacuuming performance is excellent. The suction is amazing. It easily picks up pet hair, crumbs, and whatever grass or leaves I dragged in on my feet from outside. The dual spinning mops with hot water cleaning really pick up dirt โ our white socks never looked cleaner after walking around without shoes on. And with the mop auto-lifting feature, I donโt worry about wet mopping on our area rugs. The Robotic Arm โ Very cool, but has obviously has some limitations: The OmniGrip robotic arm is the headline feature of this vacuum. Itโs genuinely futuristic and works great picking up socks, a stray tissue, etc and move them aside before vacuuming. It even did ok with some of my dogโs smaller toys, but obviously not the big or oddly-shaped ones. The robotic arm is a nice to have and not a need to have for me, but is pretty neat and fun to play with. My dog is still trying to figure out what this thing is! Dock and Maintenance: The multifunctional dock is a huge plus. It not only empties the dustbin and washes the mop with hot water to clean and disinfect for the next use, but it also dries the mop to prevent mildew smells. Maintenance is minimal โ just refill the water, cleaning liquid, and empty the waste tank once a week. Final Thoughts: The Saros Z70 is a cleaning machine! It does the work, so I can focus on other things. It offers real value for busy households and/or those who want the latest in smart home tech. I am very impressed!

Ineffective cleaning
Not for pets. Leaves clumps of dog fur all over the house and rugs. I really had figured with the price, this robot wouldnโt have these problems, but unfortunately there are better robots (like the Dreame x50) The robot arm doesnโt work, couldnโt get it to even recognize a sock. If you donโt have pets, this may be alright, but donโt expect for it to pick anything up. And at $1999, they donโt even supply you with cleaning solution for the mop, which is absolutely insane for the price point.

A life saver with some awesome new technology
The Roborock Saros Z70 is a wonderful companion and a bit of a life saver. Maintaining a household with kids, pets, and husband who canโt seem to figure out where to put his shoes can be crazy, but this But the Roborock Saros Z70 saves the day. The robot with makes it floors pristine, moves my husbands shoes to their proper place with its arm, and handles my dogs hair like a pro. The arm is an incredible feature I have been using it to create zones for shows and also testing it out collecting dog toys, socks, and tissues. Roborock says they are going to be adding more things the robot can interact with using the arm and I am greatly looking forward to that. The robots cleaning ability is truly spectacular. It has edge sweeping and mopping that makes reaching places that normal robotic vacuums struggle to get to a breeze. The vacuum gets under the edges of cabinets and tight corner spaces. The device has truly minimized my need for manual mopping and cleans up muddy paw prints and my husbandโs muddy foot prints with ease. The obstacle avoidance and detection are excellent its identifies moves, and avoids all the things it should. The Roborock Saros Z70โs ability to lift its self over thresholds, and furniture with U shaped legs is awesome. It navigates extremely well. The all in one dock that removes the mop pads when they are being cleaned saves time and the robot does a great job just plain cleaning as it should. All fully customizable through the app. You can specify no go zones pet areas. On the note of pets, the vacuum will take cute snapshots of you pet as it sees them through the day and you can use the camera to look for them or check on the home throughout the day. Overall, the Roborock Saros Z70 is a great device and I would buy another in a heartbeat. The robot saves me so much time and the arm really is very helpful. This is the best robot I have ever used and I have had other Roborock vacuums which were also good in all fairness. It truly is a one stop cleaning solution with the self emptying dock, arm for organizing, and the mopping. If you are considering this robot, get it you will love it!

S7 MaxV Ultra vs. Saros Z70
Overall Iโm enjoying the Saros Z70 so far, I purchased it to upgrade from my S7 MaxV Ultra. The S7 was my first robot vacuum and at the time a revered unit as it had unmatched suction, mopping, and overall efficiency compared to its competitors. Unfortunately the cliff sensors on it became saturated with moisture and after doing multiple repairs on this unit in the past I just let it sit as the cliff sensor repair was pretty in depth and expensive. Since that time it seems like other brands have caught up to Roborockโs innovation, however theyโre the only brand Iโm aware of that makes a vacuum with an extendable arm, so since I was able to get the Z70 for 50% off I had to try it out. Comparing the Z70 to the S7 MaxV Ultra both certainly have their individual advantages, but overall are pretty similar units. Regarding the actual robot (not the dock), I liked how the z70 has the LiDAR sensor built into the machine, not protruding to be able to fit under lower furniture, this feature paired with the extendable side brushes and extendable mop heads are a huge upgrade and makes its cleaning ability that much more thorough. Another difference in design between these models which has to be considered with the extendable arm is how small the dust bin is on the z70, its tiny. At first I had no idea how it would hold any dirt but after letting the dustbin get full a few times I found that the self-emptying function on the dock is able to get the dust bin fully clean. Whereas on the S7 MaxV Ultra my biggest gripe was having to constantly manually clean the dustbin, the dock on that model could never get the dustbin clean in any way. So despite the z70โs small dustbin size it does actually work in relation to the S7โs. Comparing their cleaning efficiency seems to be similar, despite the z70 claiming to have 4x the suction power of the S7. The mop heads on the z70 are round and spin compared to the s7โs vibrating mop pad, I do prefer the spinning mop heads as they seem like theyโre cleaning more efficiently than the vibrating pad, especially with the heated water, but time will tell on this feature. I am also finding the battery life on the z70 is much better than the S7, it seems to be able to do more on a charge and recharge much faster. Not to mention the z70โs dock comes with a much safer plug, the S7โs dock came with a plug that needed an adapter for US outlets, and it was very sketchy as it would ark and spark when being plugged in or nudged. That adapter always seemed like a huge fire risk to me so Iโm glad they now have a power plug with a built in 3 prong cord. One thing I did find interesting with the z70 is how if it gets stuck, it acts a lot more aggressively than the S7 when trying to get itself out. When the S7 would get caught on something it would simply reverse a few times, essentially try to wiggle its way out of the spot, and quickly give up. The z70 will recognize that itโs stuck, and out of nowhere floor it in reverse with decent speed. While this may be efficient in getting the robot unstuck, i can see this being a pretty decent safety risk if it bumps into a table with a candle or something similar when going in reverse so quickly. Regarding the extendable arm, itโs cool but thatโs about it. It still seems like itโs in its beta stage in terms of the amount of items itโs able to recognize and pick up, I tried it out last night by placing a ball of paper on the ground. It took it a long time to figure out what it was, over a minute, and after that minute the arm came out, picked up the piece of paper after dancing around it a few times, and then once the z70 picked up the paper it didnโt know what to do with it. Perhaps I have to program the storage areas more but thatโs as far as I got with the extendable arm, donโt expect it to be your personal maid as much as a party trick, over time Iโm hoping it will be able to pick up and store dog bones/toys. Itโs a solid vacuum that I do enjoy, but I donโt think itโs worth $2500 or even $2000 due to the fact that itโs so similar to the S7 MaxV ultra in terms of its cleaning efficiency. At $1200 or less it is a fantastic vacuum, the dock on the Z70 is a huge upgrade in terms of looks and function and the z70 does have its perks in comparison.

Quiet, Smart, and Impressively Reliable Everyday Cleaning
After trying several robot vacuums over the years, the Roborock Saros Z70 finally feels like a mature, well-designed product. Cleaning is consistent and reliable, whether itโs vacuuming carpets or mopping hard floors. What stands out most is how methodical it isโno random movements, no missed spots. The mapping and room control are precise, and maintenance is surprisingly simple. It quietly works in the background and keeps the house looking presentable every day. If you value efficiency, smart automation, and solid build quality, this model delivers exactly that.

Awesome upgrade from the S9 and M6 machines.
I have owned an iRobot S9 and its side-kick the iRobot Brava Jet M6 for over 5 years. This Roborock Saros Z70 replaces them both and does MUCH BETTER work. I've only had it a few days so I don't know about reliability, but so far it has been working awesome. This is a BIG upgrade from the S9 and M6! The app is much easier to use than the iRobot app. The Z70 auto-scanned the rooms and had them mapped within minutes. No bumping into things to map, it just looked around. I then updated the map by dividing it into rooms and naming them so I can clean one at a time. Easy. After the first cleanings I tweaked the map to get the room dividers just right. It was so cool watching the Z70 find its way around without bumping into things or getting confused! Super cool that now I can send it in to clean an un-tidy room because it will see and work around random things on the floor instead of just trying to eat them and jam. I put a slipper in the way just to watch the little arm come out, pick it up, and put it away. Per Roborock it currently will only pick up a slipper, a sock, or a ball of paper but they say soon it will pick up more kinds of things. Cool to watch its little mop swing out to wipe exactly up to the edges and swing up out of the way when on carpet or a rug. Way cool that it washes its own little mops when done, and dries them too! The dirty water tank on the base showed that the mops were really cleaning, not just smearing on shine for show. Cool that I don't have to fill the mop fluid, it just fills itself at the base before going out and adds the shine fluid too. I got the official Roborock floor cleaning solution in the 16 oz bottle. The base tank for the fluid held the entire 16 oz so it was dump in, toss the bottle, done. This machine is very quiet. It turns up the vacuum power some when on rugs but still not nearly as noisy as the S9 was. It would be awesome if an American company created this, but the Chinese have sure done a great job on it. I asked Grok about security and he said all the right things regarding that. He said the info about my home is kept on-board the machine, not sent to the cloud unless I choose to place it in the cloud. He said the right things about encryption and such stuff. Sorry to hear iRobot announced bankruptcy. Hearing that is what prompted me to get this. Having the Z70 makes me understand why - iRobot was probably not going to be able to compete against this.

Not ready for prime time
The Roborock Saros Z70 sounds impressive on paper, but in practice itโs not ready for prime time. The OmniGrip arm is more frustrating than helpful. It failed to pick up numerous items, got stuck trying, and drained the battery until the robot was completely dead. I literally had to pry a sock out of its cold, robotic claw. The vacuuming performance is actually worse than earlier Roborock models, and cleaning the unit afterward is even more of a hassle. The mopping feature is even more disappointingโit basically drags dirt around instead of doing any real cleaning. There are a few positives. The shorter height is a big win, finally letting it get under furniture where other robot vacuums couldnโt reach. Obstacle avoidance is excellent, and the base unit works well (though itโs pretty loud when drying or sucking up debris). The ability to snap pictures of your pets is funny, though itโll likely scare them before you get a cute photo. The app, however, is the true starโprobably the best in the business for robot vacuums. Voice control isnโt very useful unless youโre immobile, since itโs much easier just to use the app. As for the OmniGrip arm, I wish they had spent more time refining it instead of rushing it out as a gimmick. Overall, this product is overpriced for what it delivers. Unless youโre buying it just for the app and obstacle avoidance, I wouldnโt recommend it.

So worth it
We absolutely love this robot vacuum and mop. This is actually our third Roborock because weโve upgraded twice over the years and now have one on each level of our house. This model has been perfect for our main level where thereโs constant traffic, kids, crumbs, dog hair, and random daily messes. The vacuuming and mopping performance are both great, and it does a really good job navigating around everything without constantly getting stuck. The robot arm is honestly so cool and the kids are obsessed with watching it work. We jokingly named her D3 for Mrs. Doubtfire #3 Itโs definitely expensive, but for us it has made keeping the house clean so much easier. After almost a year with it, Iโd absolutely buy it again and look forward to the next model.

Roborock Saros Z7 vac and mop robot is the one to buy. It does it all!
The Roborock Saros Z70 robot vacuum and mop far exceeds my expectations. Firstly, the app is very user friendly and easy to set up and use, but does not work with Samsung phone so I downloaded it to my iPad and works perfectly. I love the Omnigrip arm. If you have children or pets this is a great feature. I have laminate flooring and some machine washable mats and the robot works well on both. This robot can be used with water only without their cleaning solution but I bought it and it will last a very long time. Tip: donโt use other brands of cleaning solution. Itโs made just for this one and donโt use any home products because they can damage and corrode the robot and dock. With this robot there is very little manual maintenance required. The robot mostly self cleans after each use. The clean and dirty water tanks are on the top of the dock so you just lift them out to refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty water tank. Other maintenance is easy and simple such as lifting up the mop tray located at the bottom of the dock to wash it , dry off and replace it while the robot is cleaning rooms. You can also just lift the robot itself out of the dock to wash the tray. I only wash the tray after a month of use. Some homes might need to do that more often but itโs still a simple job. Iโve been using this robot for a month and almost daily and the dust bag is far from being full. Itโs easy to remove and replace. The robot is quiet when it is working. It does such a great job, I donโt need to use my central vac anymore and I donโt need to physically wash the floors again. The robot does a thorough job of vacuuming and mopping. It is deemed number 1 in Canada right now. I can confidently recommend this and itโs worth the cost, every penny.

โโ

Way better than my last one.
Our house is mostly wood and tile floors with a few area rugs. I'm retiring an 8 year old Neato Vacuum that worked every day in this large house. Was amazing while it lasted, with LIDAR navigation being superior in my view to optical vision only. But then we got a puppy and the Neato was lacking. Now I'm in love with the Saros Z70 in part because of the dog. Firstly let me get the cleaning out of the way. Despite having considerably less vacuum power the roller and vacuum picks up all of the dirt on the floor easily, and the mopping feature works way better than my iRobot mop. The mapping and scheduling of the house was fast and simple and it's excellent in this regard. As for the puppy? The visual navigation and obstacle avoidance is spectacular since the dog is always leaving stuff everywhere. The robotic arm? It works sometimes and not other times because frankly it's new technology. But I love to support this sort of forward thinking because, after all don't we all want a robot that can clean up our mess? in my books when it works it's a bonus and I'm hoping as the software evolves the arm will get better. But for sure I would recommend this.

This is a neat unit, and always getting better.
From most Robot Vacs I have seen i think this one Sux's haha no really its not too bad, does a pretty good clean up considering what all robot vacs can do. I think the Arm is not gimack , it seems to do not to bad. it picks up some of the dogs toys to put in the bin and moves slippers and shoes, also picks up towels that are larger than it haha. stealing things off the bathroom floor I like making videos of it dragging these items to the drop point haha. There is new identification system where they are are starting to allow you to submit items which i believe they are training on. Mob job is not bad seems on part with most. love that it stretches the mop out like a leg to clean under things. the detection between carpet and hardwood is really good. it picks up the mops when transition. It also lifts its body up like a pimped up car on hydraulics to get over harder transitions. I have one transition it cant seem to do, there is a lot of features in the software for helping it know things and it identifies on a map where it sees dog crap and the likes which is neat... some pet toys get identified as such haha so it avoids the smear. I suspect its not perfect but its pretty good thus far. I recommend it, but wait until sale haha its expensive but best of the robots I have seen thus far.

Amazing robot vacuum.
It is an amazing robot vacuum. It's vacuum and mopping capabilities are excellent. The robot arm is a useful addition. But, sometimes it tries to pick up things that are to heavy. It had issues with fallen orchid flower, It was sticky and stuck to the robot arm. I really love remote control feature, you can drive it with FPV video stream. You can even remote control the arm! It is possible to video call via this robot vacuum! It has feature that helps find you pet. In my opinion, It is useful tool and a cool toy.
