I bought this camera without expecting too much and honestly it surprised me. The setup was very easy and I connected it to my phone pretty fast. The video quality looks really clear during the day, and the night vision is actually pretty good too. One thing I really like is the battery life, and the solar panel helps a lot so I don’t have to keep charging it all the time. The 360 movement is also useful because it covers a bigger area than normal cameras. The motion alerts come quickly and so far it’s been working great outside in both rain and hot weather. For the price, I think it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend.

Updated to five stars This device is able to add an additional solar panel to it, you use the same area at the base of the camera to attach the solar panel, photo below which you can request from Customer Service to be able to make sure you have enough sunlight on the solar panel to run the camera. The fact that this game has the ability to do this, makes it rise up to the standard that is expected for five stars. This is a very reliable company and the quality of the internal camera and lens is excellent. This two piece camera set comes well secured in the box at nicely packed. It is very easy to figure out and install quickly. The camera has iCloud features. You have a choice of two different apps to use with the cameras CloudEdge or Coouacam It uses an up to 128 GB SD card that is class 10 I highly recommend that you put an SD card in this camera while using, it is not included with the camera. This camera uses many choices on how you want to install it and connect to the app. It is best placed on the corner of the building. Please see my photos for ideas. The camera has quick connect clip that will release itself from the clip very quick and fast. It is agreed that it is nice to have the solar panel attached to the camera. However, in this case I found when placing up beside a tree, it was difficult because the panel was not adjustable. That is why this product is getting a four star. The angle of the solar panel hinders your mountability. This company puts out very good quality cameras with very good quality lenses excellent viewing and clear photos. The zoom feature and the ability to spin the camera are excellent things that this camera can achieve 360° turnability. All motion detection can be changed by the settings on the app, which is very user-friendly. This is an excellent value for the price paid. I put this camera up a couple weeks ago and I haven’t had any issues with the battery not being charged at 100% since then. Absolutely no issues with this camera at all the notifications are excellent and adjustable and you are able to talk to people from your app to the camera itself.

It’s not a five star camera. But for the price it’s a great deal. It’s has a fairly decent picture. It is pure wireless. Customer service is good. The negative thing about this camera is it is not reliable for recording. It might be better for shorter distances from how I’m using it.But not sure. For monitoring it’s fine. I have other wired cameras that never miss a detection. This camera has a mind of its own. Sometimes it records sometimes it doesn’t. Camera is not reliable for security purposes. Camera does not work well in the rain as far as water on the lens compared to my other cameras. Price is right. It’s worth it. Edit 6/8/26 seller reached out (no I didn’t reach out to them) they fixed everything and I am very happy with the results. They are very easy to set up. The app walks you through the process. The video quality is very good. I can view them anywhere I have cell service. Original 3 star review - They do not detect all movement. I have had quite a few Amazon deliveries that didn’t get detected. The view is set right on the porch and driveway and the mask is set to detect all movement within that view. There is no way to sidestep it. There are times when I will walk out the door and it won’t detect my movement until I go back inside a minute or two later. Sometimes the camera disconnects and I can’t get it to reconnect. Then an hour or 3 it will decide to do it on its own. At least when it disconnects it still acts like a motion detecting camera so that’s kinda a plus. But now it’s past time for a return. The video quality is very good in the 6 seconds you get to view any movement without subscribing to their cloud services even with a 256gb sd card installed. They are pretty easy to install and set up. I have 2 of them the rear camera I haven’t had any issues with. That’s why it gets 3 stars.

Excellent camera , AI detection is superb. This cameras came with integrated solar and it is amazing with even a low light charge. Images and sound are great. Super easy to set up. Not a cheap plastic, this is a rubust camera and looks like it’s going to last for a long time. Customer service is amazing!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cameras are working well. Video is very good quality. Has a wide range for the field of view. One of the cameras does have issues staying connection to network. Easy set up for the installation.

Bought this so I can keep an eye on my dog in his outdoor kennel when I wasn't home. I did have to buy a separate pole attachment to set it up in there but that went fine and everything was simple. The solar powering works well. It's not exactly in direct sunlight but it is far from shaded. It has been set up since mid November 2025 and it has stayed charged up to this point so far. You don't have to have any subscriptions for at least the live feed on its app which was fine with me. The video and sound quality has been great on my phone. There is directional buttons in the user interface so you can pan the camera in all directions if needed and a speaker so you can talk to whoever is on that end. Very happy with the product.

Very good camera with a few exceptions. First, it holds a charge very well. I wasn’t expecting the solar panel to be this good in the winter. Never had to manually recharge it. Setup was easy enough. I had to drill into my brick wall next to my garage and was able to eventually mount it there. It snapped right in after I set the mount. I was worried that mounting it too close to the awning of the garage would impact the solar charge. Nope, still charges like a champ. App setup and pairing with WiFi was easy. I enjoy the app quite a bit and the notifications are helpful. Now keep in mind this is a cheap dad talking, so take that for what it’s worth… it only saves 6 seconds of video and only takes snapshots IF you haven’t paid for the monthly cloud service on the app. You can get around that with a SD card. But the cost is somewhere around $6 per month. If you want full time video recording saved for 30 days, it’s like $15 per month. Not a huge deal, but it’s worth noting if you aren’t expecting this. I have installed a SD card that seems to be doing a good job at saving more video if I’m away. Good video quality for sure, and it takes both night vision and color video that’s very sensitive at night. See from the photo I included here that it captured a raccoon on the street and in the video it caught my dogs sneaking out of the house. Cool features. The fact that I can control the camera angles from the app is a plus. There’s a security alarm function that could scare away intruders with either a sound alarm, a light flashing, or both. if you’re away and it also allows you to talk to people next to the camera via the app with ok sound quality. It’s been fun to scare my kids as they walk by the camera lol. So overall it’s a great value, just be mindful of the cost of cloud storage if you weren’t expecting that part.

J'ai acheté deux cameras COOAU Produit de haute qualité, fonctionne très bien, fait son travail. Autonomie solaire est géniale. Possède beaucoup de fonctionnalité pour un prix très intéressant. Qualité vidéo et sonore parfaites. Installation très facile et très simple d'utilisation. A recommander vivement.

Es una cámara perfecta, compacta y de buena calidad en sus materiales, muy sencilla de configurar a través de su App "Cooau Cam" en español (en la app inicialmente te registras con tu email y una contraseña al efecto) que te lleva paso a paso tanto con una voz de ayuda como visualmente la configuración inicial y funcionamiento de la cámara. Además el video de su configuración inicial que viene en la propia página de venta de amazon (junto a las fotos del producto) ya te describe perfectamente tambien como hacerlo. Es totalmente autónoma en alimentación de corriente desde su panel con tecnología solar BC, una nueva tecnología de alta eficiencia en paneles solares, pero también la camara viene con una toma usb C por si quieres alimentarla directamente con corriente desde un cargador de 5V/2A que a su vez sirve para cargar inicialmente la batería interna. Según indica el fabricante en el manual de instalación si donde colocas la camara no llegase suficiente luz como para cargar bien la bateria a través de su panel solar incorporado poniéndote en contacto con él te provee de forma gratuita de un panel solar extra con cable de 3 metros para que le conectes a esa toma USB desde una zona dónde si le pegue mejor el sol a ese panel extra. La cámara tiene tecnología de conexion por wifi 6 (muy pocas cámaras en este rango de calidades tienen actualmente esta tecnología...), wifi 6 es la última tecnología para la conexiones wifi que dotan de mayor velocidad y capacidad de recepción y conexion, lo cual te favorece si la vas a colocar en un sitio donde la señal wifi llega algo pobre, además también funciona por bluetooth necesario activar a la hora de configurar la cámara con la app. Instalamos 3 cámaras iguales "C5" y su control es perfecto a través de la app Cooau Cam, (OJO......previamente al arranque inicial de las cámaras y su posterior configuración a través de la app hay que cargarlas completamente con un cargador de móvil tipo USB C de 5v/2A a su toma "usb C" que viene en la propia cámara hasta que el led de estado pase de color rojo a azul, tardará más de 2 horas al menos, ya que la batería interna no viene cargada del todo). Viene con todo lo necesario para colgar en pared vertical o en techo su placa de sustentación y sobre ésta placa se coloca la propia cámara de una manera facilísima tanto para ponerla como para quitarla. Su visión es perfecta, muy buena resolución, y la app te da muchas formas de poder visionarla en el móvil y formas de detección y grabación (si le has puesto una memoria micro SC). Si quieres a través de una opción en la app te dan gratis en la nube del fabricante 6 segundos de grabación de vigilancia (mas tiempo hay que pagar por ese servicio...) pero lo mas seguro y privado es meter a la cámara en su ranura correspondiente una memoria micro SDXC, yo las metí de 64 Gb y tengo para semanas de grabación ininterrumpida que a medida que se llena va superponiendo las imágenes anteriores previamente ya grabadas. Una vez configurada la cámara en la app (configurar primero una completamente, y luego otra y asi hasta meter todas...) y metido la contraseña del wifi 2,4g (no admite wifi 5g) puedes ver las cámaras instaladas desde varios móviles android o iphone sin tener que repetir el proceso de alta cada vez en cada móvil, bien metiendo en cada móvil la misma cuenta (mismo usuario y contraseña con el que te registraste en la app) en cuyo caso sólo se podrá ver desde uno de los móviles y si entras con otro móvil al meter esa misma cuenta se desconecta la app del anterior móvil y viceversa, o desde dentro de la app hay una opcion que es "añadir miembros a la familia", algo más complicado pero ahí creo que de esa formasi te permite ver a la vez la cámara desde varios móviles a la vez... término que no he comprobado. La cámara es supuestamente totalmente para exterior con una protección declarada IP66, significa que el dispositivo está completamente protegido contra el polvo (hermético al polvo) y puede soportar chorros de agua potentes desde cualquier dirección, como lluvia intensa o salpicaduras. En resumen es una camara muy buena, de las mejores que he visto y un precio muy contenido para las funciones y tecnología que trae, muy recomendable y muy sencilla de instalar, veremos con el paso del tiempo cómo se comporta.

Great piece of kit very easy to set up, and hopefully will not have to take it down to recharge.

I recently installed the COOAU C5 CCTV camera with the built-in solar panel and have found it to be a solid mid-range security camera. The biggest advantage is the integrated solar panel. Unlike cameras that use a separate panel and cable, the all-in-one design looks neater and makes installation quicker. Once mounted, the camera generally maintains its battery level really well when placed in a location that receives reasonable sunlight. Video quality is good for the price, with 2K resolution providing clear daytime footage and useful colour night vision after dark. The pan-and-tilt functionality offers wide coverage, making it suitable for monitoring larger areas such as driveways, gardens, or side entrances. Although the zoom is not the best quality. However, there are a few drawbacks. The motion detection works reasonably well for people but can occasionally miss smaller movements or trigger alerts inconsistently. The Wi-Fi performance can depend heavily on signal strength where the camera is installed, I do get alot of low connectivity messages. One limitation of the built-in solar panel is that the panel cannot be repositioned independently from the camera. If the ideal camera viewing angle doesn't also face good sunlight, charging performance may not be the best. This reduces flexibility compared with the G1 pro model that use a separate adjustable solar panel. Overall, the COOAU C5 offers good value for money, easy installation and decent image quality. While it isn't perfect and has some limitations with motion detection and solar-panel positioning, it performs well as an affordable wireless outdoor security camera.
