This is a great tent for backpacking, but I snapped one of the poles. I have used the MSR website repair request process multiple times, asking to buy a replacement pole but nobody is at home out there. Its very frustrating when the only way provided to contact a seller doesn't work. I am living with a repair sleeve but it isn't ideal. Why doesn't MSR answer their own website requests?

Very well made product. Performed well in the rain. We stayed dry and comfy. At just under 3 lbs for a 3 person tent we thought the value per dollar was very good. MSR should include a footprint for the price. To keep the weight down, the fabric has to be lighter and needs a footprint to keep from poking a hole in the floor.

I bought this to replace my lost Hubba Hubba NX2. The Freelight tent I returned right away. It is much lighter than the Hubba Hubba, which is already extremely light. The Freelight felt like it was just one twig or small branch away from getting torn open. I had no faith in the material. If you arent real rough with your gear, and maybe dont have a big dog like me thats all fine, but with kids and a dod, the freelight was not an option.
