DREAM PAIRS Womens Closed Toe Hiking Summer Outdoor Sport Athletic Sandals

I am now an owner of 6 different styles of Dream Pairs ranging from high heels to boots to these comfortable, well made, true to size, sleek, rugged and strong , smart made adjustable straps yet so casual and cute hiking sandals. My feet are wide and dream Pairs figured out a womens foot. I wear a 6 1/2 wide and that is what I order EVERY single time. I have never returned. I will wear these to work because the covered toes is a practical choice. I ordered the gray. Wear them with exercise gear or flowy wide leg casual pants and a T shirt. You cant go wrong if you're looking for wide feet comfort plus they are really fun looking and stylish according to my taste.

I tried on 6 pairs of similar closed toe sandals, looking for a comfortable walking/easy hiking sandal, with the extra protection of a closed toe. I got size 7 in each of the following: Keen Whisper, Keen Newport H2, Teva Walhalla, Teva Omnium, Dannto, and this DreamPair. I really expected to like the more expensive shoes, but I chose the Dream Pair for the following reasons: Easy to put on and take off with the back velcro strap. Nice and roomy for my toes. Back strap does not catch/irritate my ankle bones. If I had any concerns it was with the inside sole which felt a little rough on my soft feet after a winter in socks. I have since worn them several times, and one full day, and am thrilled to say that the sole did not irritate at all. Here are my findings on the other closed toe sandals: Keen Whisper: Difficult to put on with fixed back strap, needing 'finger work'. The back strap touched my outside ankle bone (end of the fibula bone) but was otherwise comfortable. The stippled inside of the sole did not irritate my foot. This shoe is more 'open' and therefore probably cooler than the other shoes I tried. I think this pair was the most attractive of the 6 pairs. Keen Newport H2: I had high hopes for this pair of shoes since it seems to be the standard to which all others are compared. Once again the negative for me was the difficulty in putting them on. They are a much snugger fit than the others, possibly better if climbing over rocks, but I preferred the roomier feel of the DreamPairs. The back strap, like the Whisper, touched my outside ankle bone. The arch support was very obvious. I also found the Newports 'clunky', that is, after putting down my heel, the front of the shoe would 'slap' down - noisy. The Teva Walhallas were easier than the Keens and the Teva Omnium to put on, but didn't have the ease of the velcro strap on the Dream Pairs. Very squeaky walking across Pergo and tile floors, but maybe that's indicative of good grip? They did not irritate my ankle bones. The inside sole was smooth except for a TEVA logo under the heel. This irritated my left foot, leaving an imprint of the logo, but strangely enough did not worry my right foot. The Teva Omnium had a very nice adjustable strap over the top of the foot, and a high instep. I found the inside sole rough on my foot. Although easier to get on than the Keens, it still required 'the finger'! The Dannto had a velcro back strap making it easy to put on and take off, but I found the insole/instep a little high for me. Otherwise it was comfortable, did not touch the ankle bones. Hope this helps you find a comfortable pair of closed toe sandals. I returned all five of the other pairs after my in house trial.

I love this shoe brand- this is the 4th pair of sandals etc I’ve ordered since last summer and they haven’t disappointed me yet! No “ break in period needed- they are so comfortable right out of the box! More room for my wider feet and I really love the heel strap making them so much easier to put on/ take off in the event my feet swell. They come in several colors and I prefer to wear these every day over the national brand and they are so much more reasonable in price. I can’t speak to their water resistance but my feet can breathe and move freely in this style! Win win!

These are awesome and so comfortable. They allow my feet to breath just like flip flops but enclose my toes which makes them versatile for me. Not only do they support my ankle but also supports my arch. If you have diabetic neuropathy like me these are awesome for that also because you can shape the top with a release at the top and the strap in the back. I completely hate socks during the summer time and this is so nice. These fit me just right the size was perfect. I haven't tried them in the water yet I only purchase sandals once every 2 years so I'm going to put them to the test. So Far I Love them they are comfortable to me .

I'm 66, have had some problems with plantar fasciitis in the past and these are very comfortable! They look good too. I wear an 8, these are a bit big and wide but that works for me as my feet swell in the summer plus the fit is adjustable in width the whole length of the shoe and the velcro backstrap makes the length adjustable as well. Very happy I bought these.

If you prefer a roomy, relaxed fit in your outdoor footwear, these Dream Pairs sandals offer plenty of space. I ordered 8.5 (ny usual size is 8.5W), and I found that these have an exceptionally generous toe box. In fact, they remind me quite a bit of the airy feel you get with Crocs. While the two adjustable straps allow for some customization, those with narrower feet might find them a bit too voluminous for technical trails. One unique design element is the sturdy rubber outsole, which extends about 1 cm (3/8 inch) beyond the fabric at the toe on both side!!! This provides a very wide base, though it does give the sandals a distinct "duck-foot" silhouette that might not be for everyone. Because of that extra-wide profile, I found it a little tricky to feel the pedals while driving, so these are definitely better suited for the trail than the driver's seat. For walking, these do the job well, especially if you pair them with socks to help fill out the extra room and add a layer of comfort. They are a solid, budget-friendly option at $35, and I plan on wearing them as my go-to "utility" shoes until they’ve seen their last mile.

These shoes are so incredible comfortable and worked well for me on the trail. I was backpacking and my boots suddenly started causing me issues. I had packed these sandals for camp (thank goodness) and ended up hiking in them for several miles. I wore wool hiking socks with them. My feet didn’t have any issues with the sandals. They only lasted me a year but I’ve had much more expensive shoes only last a short time.
