SwamCam Pool Alarm Wi-Fi Camera System – ASTM F2208 Certified – Smart Pool Safety for In-ground & Above-Ground Pools – Real-Time Alerts, Live View, Built-in Wi-Fi Repeater

We recently installed the SwamCam pool alarm system, and I can’t say enough good things about it. As parents of 4 kids ages 3 to 10, we wanted an extra layer of security beyond a pool fence—and SwamCam has truly delivered. The system uses AI and a high-definition camera to detect actual movement near the pool, which gives us far more confidence than traditional water-entry alarms. Setup was surprisingly straightforward, and the app is intuitive and reliable. We love the instant alerts and the fact that we can monitor everything remotely in real time. SwamCam strikes a great balance between safety and convenience, and we now feel much more at ease knowing we have this extra safeguard in place. Highly recommend for any family with a pool.

Great camera. Gives me peace of mind.

This is so so great for pool safety. Purchased this for my mother’s pool. We have multiple little ones and dogs. The alarm is set every time company is over. It instantly goes off if one of the kids gets by the pool. The app is easy, and you can share it with more people who aren’t in your household, to give them a piece of mind! I.E. when my mom babysits I don’t worry about the pool because I will be alarmed and I can go to live view. Worth the money.

This is essentially unusable with the premium subscription. The detection zone cannot be adjusted without the subscription. Without being able to adjust the detection zone there is just a huge rectangle, so unless you have the perfect pool area for a large rectangle you will have lots of false alarms. The keypad has stopped working after only being in use for a few days. I’ve emailed support without a reply. None of my alerts are being saved to the video playback/history section. Night detection is terrible, did not pick up movement at all when tested even though live view the person seemed quite visible. Update: I did hear from customer support, after posting this review they apparently found my email. They suggested I change the batteries in the key pad even though they had been brand new. Unfortunately, changing the batteries involves uninstalling the keypad from where we had mounted it which was a bit annoying. Luckily it did fix the problem though. Otherwise seems to be working fine, but again it will be hard to use without the subscription.

Not the easiest to set up to certain internet, but works well even thirty feet from the house. I love the audio feature.

Unfortunately we have to return this product. I was very excited to have the extra safety measure in place but we kept getting false alarms where it would alarm on our umbrella or reflection of trees in the pool. It cause more stress than comfort. Giving 2 stars because it do alarm and work if it detected something but wish it could differentiate from humans like it says.

* edit to add- they reached out after seeing my review. The person I spoke to was very nice and understanding and offered to send me a different version to try out. I appreciate the customer service and hope to change this to five stars when the new one is installed. For us- this was the biggest waste of money. The requirements for set up are almost impossible based on our (and most) pool configurations. I tried contacting customer support to return it but they just said it has to be moved to another area which would not work for our backyard. The camera quality is so blurry it couldn’t pick up anything/anyone. And we had great WiFi from there.

I must say, Swamcam has incredible customer service! I reached out using the Support button in the app because I couldn’t pinch to zoom on my Android device. Their team was extremely responsive—they not only acknowledged the issue but quickly released an update to fix it. And it worked perfectly! What impressed me even more was their follow-up: they actually called to make sure everything was working smoothly. That level of care is rare and truly appreciated. The camera itself is crystal clear and gives us peace of mind, whether we’re away from home or keeping an eye on little ones running around. Highly recommend!
