Makes the mortar harder and smoother
I used this for the mortar to build my retaining wall, and also to make designs with a mould. It made a huge difference, especially in the molded designs. The designs came out smoother, harder, less porous and looked so much better adding this rather than just using water.

Not sure of the quality of product
I used most of the contents of the gallon container in my concrete and seemed to work ok. I spilled some of the product on my boots and didn’t think to much about it but later that day I left my boots in mud room I noticed a funky smell on my boots. I checked with Sakrete product support and explained the odor of product. He suggested I return it but I had missed the return window due to my fault . Suggest you check the product when you receive it a make sure it doesn’t smell funky ( kind of a rotten smell)
