Good Machine, Quick Replacement of Initial DOA Unit
Four Stars because it the first one came DOA. I used the free return feature, identical replacement, the old one was picked up the next business day and the new arrived two days later. The first unit beeped when you turned it on but did not spin. Second one works perfectly. My previous dryer was the Nina soft. It worked fine for 3 years then just quit. I decided to try the Panda because it has higher spin speed. Note: First I review Spin Dryers, and at the end I will compare the Nina Soft to the Panda. Both Spin Dryers were very useful machines. They spin out so much water that 10 minutes in a commercial dryer would get the clothes dry. Clothes dry easily in an hour indoors, 10 - 20 minutes outdoors. Together with a bucket and a breathing mobile washer, you can do a load of clothes very quickly in the kitchen or bath and get things cleaner than a washing machine by far. I soak overnight in the bucket, use the breathing washer (looks like a plunger but is a hard plastic agitator) to work the clothes in the bucket for 5 minutes, then spin out the soapy water, refill bucket with fresh water, work the clothes for a couple of minutes, then spin out the rinse water for 5 minutes and hang to dry or tumble in a commercial dryer for a few minutes. Saves money, energy, water, and you get cleaner clothes. You can easily use home-made laundry soap like washing soda and Fels Naptha, and after the rinse, there is NO soap or detergent in your clothes. Also, the whole process is much easier on your clothing, not nearly as much lint and heat destruction, as there is with standard washing. I also have a natural bristle shaving brush and bathing brush, and I spin these out as well. They last longer and never mildew. Panda Vs. NinaSoft. The Panda is more expensive. It has a stainless steel drum and exterior. The Ninasoft has a Plastic exterior and I believe a plastic drum. The Panda is louder. If I do laundry early in the AM, there is a slight possibility the neighboring apartment could hear the hum. The NinaSoft is much quieter. The Panda does get out more water with the faster spin speed (which probably causes the higher noise levels as well) but the NinaSoft did an OK job of getting water out too. The Panda has a 5 minute timer on it which is EXTREMELY CONVENIENT. If you forget about the NinaSoft, it will run for hours, with unknown consequences. It might wear out more quickly, there may be a possibility of fire, but I don't know. I just don't like the idea of an appliance running a spinning drum for hours continuously. The Panda cannot do this. It will shut down after 5 minutes no matter what. Good feature! The Panda is definitely easier to load and balance. I believe it speeds up more slowly, allowing the water (which is the primary weight in the drum) to drain out before stepping up to higher speed. This means that a slightly unbalanced load will seem to "balance itself." However, if you severely unbalance the load, the machine will walk all over the place and fail to speed up. Better to keep things even in there. The Nina Soft had a VERY convenient handle on top. No such luck with the Panda. You have to bend over and wrap your arms around it to pick it up and move it, and it is heavier than the Nina Soft. Bottom line: Both work. Both work well. Panda has the 5 minute shut-off and gets a bit more water out. Ninasoft is cheaper and has a great handle. Both are very suitable to use in an apartment with no hookups, or if you live in a "tiny house" or boat. 4/7/2018 Update: Still working perfectly. I am liking the higher speed more and more, and the 5 minute run limit is pure genius. I have a washer and dryer that are extremely handy, yet I use this all the time. Some items like wool vests and fleece sweaters come out of this dry enough to put on. I have done a full size bath towel and the results were amazing. Towels, underwear, socks, anything that doesn't need to look pressed never go in the dryer. I have an indoor rack and everything gets dry in a few hours, even on a rainy day. Towels, and socks may take an overnight hang to get completely dry. No one makes a larger version, which is a shame. Udpate 2/23/2022 Yep it is still working perfectly. I now have a laundry room and new set of LG front-loaders, and I STILL use my Panda. Sometimes things don't work out and this thing is gold. Like the time I knew my favorite v-neck vest was in the wash, and then, 20 minutes before I had to leave, It wasn't. I found it in the hamper, did a quick hand wash in the sink, then 2 minutes in Panda to get out the soap, another quick hand rinse in the sink, then 4 minutes in Panda. It came out nearly dry. The dryer was still warm from the previous load, so I popped it in with a couple of other dry articles and ran it for 5 minutes. It came out dry, clean, and ready to wear, in 15 minutes flat. There just is nothing else that can do this. I'm still amazed that I can pull a couple of shirts out of the wash after the high speed spin, put them in the Panda, and extract ANOTHER 1/3 - 1/2 cup of water. I still use the panda for small loads, like a couple of shirts and t-shirts. I can run them through it in 5 minutes, then hang them up or toss them in the dryer for literally 5 minutes and they are wrinkle free and ready to wear. I know this saves energy because the Panda takes so little electricity. Still going after all these years.

This little Panda spin dryer is awesome!
I got my Panda portable spin dryer today. I love it! My not so old front load washer broke so I’ve been hand washing my clothes for more than a year. I use a hand crank wringer to get most of the water out of my clothes. They are not dry enough to put in my dryer so I use a clothes line outside. This little spin dryer is awesome. I washed a set of full sized sheets to try it out. After using the ringer I put the sheets in the spinner. After just a minute an extra 2 cups of water was spun out. It’s very quiet and works great! I later washed a full sized light weight blanket. I fit fine in the spinner and came out dryer than my expensive front load machine could do. It works much better than I expected. Well worth the money. The only thing I would suggest is that it should have handles so it can be moved easier. It’s not heavy just a little awkward to move. That being said I plan to just leave it sitting next to my deep sink and wringer. P.S. I found the handles. It is perfect after all 🤗

I love Amazon! It is the place where I can ...
I love Amazon! It is the place where I can find items that are of real use. My washer started leaking around the middle of December and right now I don't have the money to replace it. I have to replace the water inlet valve as well because it was broken off some time ago and didn't notice it! Fortunenatly it's not an issue right now because it does not leak. I can't take the hoses off yet until I get the valve replaced. Anyhow, I wash my clothes by hand and I don't mind that. I didn't know until I started exploring around Amazon that there were a lot of different types of washing machines and dryers to fit whatever your situation might be. Well when I discovered that there were these things called spin dryers, I took a real close look at that. I decided to go with the Panda spin dryer because of the solid construction and a large amount of reviews that were positive. I just got mine yesterday and I washed a small load of clothes. I put them in the spin dryer and boy was I amazed. This thing is AWESOME! The pictures of it don't do it justice. It's bigger than it looks in the advertisements and the videos of it on you tube. I had no problems at all using it. It got to my house on time, the packaging was in order, that motor thing was in the bottom like it was supposed to be, wiped it down on the inside and put it to use. Just as soon as you turn it on most of the water is expelled from the clothes. I'm talking 10 seconds or maybe less. I let it run at least 2 min just to see how much more water will come out. It just drips at that point. The clothes are still a little damp but depending on the material, some spots on my clothes are actually dry. All that and I've only had it for less than a day! I don't even want to use my dryer. I just hang my clothes up somewhere and they air dry quickly. I highly recommend this appliance.

Panda 3200rpm spin dryer
This is an interesting product. You can spin most of the water out of wet clothes that have just been washed. It's pretty amazing how much water comes out. With small stuff they feel almost dry, just damp when they spin for just a minute or two. Hanging them up they dry in under an hour. The key point is that they spin faster than an ordinary washing machine and that's what gets them so dry. I think it's about twice as fast. I did some calculations and found that the outward forces on the water quadruple for double the speed. That's how they get so dry.

Spin dryer
Amazing little spin dryer. It has literally cut my drying time in half if not more in my dryer. I originally got it cause the spin cycle on my washer doesn't work the greatest it's an old washer an I can't afford to just go drop $500 to $600 dollars on another washer even $300 is a little to pricey for me at the moment. So I had a couple of Amazon gift cards that I had gotten for Christmas an decided to give this little guy a try. By the time this thing is finish spinning I throw the clothes in my dryer an half hour 45 minutes later they are dry. If your on the fence about it don't think just get it I promise you that you won't be disappointed

Great dryer! Near-dry every time!
This Panda dryer is very easy to use, and is fantastic at drying. After plugging it in, and placing the washables with the included cover on top, all I do is pull the lever towards the right for on, and towards the left for off. I have it plugged into a regular outlet, with an APC surge protector, which indicates zero problems while off or during use. The Panda dryer I purchased works properly. It makes a humming sound that I find tolerable. After reading reviews, and reading about how this non-heating dryer can leave washables over 90% dry, I was skeptical, however it indeed does. It dries and does it well. While using a fan, washed clothing that were run through the Panda dryer have dried within an hour. For me, that along with not having to leave my home to do laundry, makes it efficient and a huge money saver. I use it in conjunction with a breathable mobile washer and a 5 gallon bucket for washing clothes, sheets, queen size blankets and so forth. These two in conjunction have in the last month and a half, saved us $130+ in laundry fees. That's not even accounting for much less detergent use per wash. All in all, I thank Panda for making such a convenient product, and highly recommended it. Note that I have only dried one queen size blanket at a time, and give the Panda 10-15 minutes between drying, depending on how full, to let it cool, as once during drying 3 times consecutively, I noticed a faint burning smell, which I suspect came from it being overworked. I have not had that issue again so far, after allowing it ample time to cool. Deducted 1 star due to the slots for placing the cord at the rear of the unit, causing scrapes to the cord. For me it is not a huge issue, but it is good to be aware of it for safeguarding. I simply loop the cord around and over the safety metal door lock.

A surprisingly useful laundry appliance
I came across this (and other brands of) laundry spinner when shopping for a washing machine. I never knew they existed. I chose this one because it’s made of metal, rather than plastic that others are made of. Still works very well after a few months of use and seems it to be quite durable. It’s easy to use but you need to make sure you distribute your wet clothes evenly in the bin. Otherwise it will wobble violently and you’ll need to hold it in place. If you load so it’s perfectly balanced, it will spin without needing you to hold it still. Just takes practice. And it spins out lots of water for cotton items but less for polyester since polyester doesn’t soak up as much water. Spinning out the water helps reduce time in the dryer, thus saving electricity. You’ll need a little container to hold the water that drains out of the spout. I’ve been able to fit in a dozen short-sleeve polo shirts although it can be a tight fit with a couple more. To make it easier to remove the spun clothes, don’t fill it up to the top because there’s a flexible plastic disk that you place on top of the wet clothes. Edit: Still works great after 15 months of use. Edit2: I use an empty 3-lb Oxyclean container to catch the water. Edit3: After the spin dryer is done, be sure to tip it forward to get the small amount of remaining water out.

Broken right out of the box; possibly a refurbished item?
I was so excited to start hand-washing our clothes with the help of an electric spinner to wring them out better than my hands are able to. Unfortunately, this clothes spinner didn't work out of the box. It beeps when I close the lid and I can smell electrical components (burning?) when it's turned on, but the barrel inside is lopsided (stuck to one side) and does not spin at all. When I reached out to Amazon's product support team, I was put on hold while they called the manufacturer (at almost 9pm EST... of course they were closed...). I was then told that they would call me tomorrow, after they are able to reach out to the manufacturer during normal business hours. "Out-of-the-box defective" should equate to a full refund. Period. I would love to try a new one (this one had signs of being a refurbished machine, with 2 broken pieces of plastic in the drum upon opening it and wear on the hinge side of the blue plastic lid) or different spinner, purchased through Amazon, but this one needs to go and I need one that works. I have never written a bad review for anything I've ever purchased on Amazon, but this is pretty ridiculous. I would not have spent over $160 on this if I had known that the manufacturer sells broken/refurbished items. This one in particular was "Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC" and I would like a full replacement/refund, please. I will update this review/remove the bad rating if this is handled properly. EDIT: Amazon refunded me the full amount I paid for the dryer and told me to dispose of the broken unit however I saw fit (meaning I didn't have to return it). I greatly appreciate that they gave me a full refund, although I did have to call twice in order to get them to process it. Leaving my review at 1 star for the product/company because they shipped a faulty machine, but Amazon has regained my trust.

An excellent purchase
By choice, my husband and I wash all of our clothes by hand. The wringing is the hard part... With this product, our laundry days have become a breeze. We have a pretty humid house that's small and has poor ventilation, but hanging to dry after using the spin dryer is great. Clothes are dry within 24 hours at the most, and sometimes half that time or less if we have the heat up or the items are polyester, etc. We are amazed by how quickly the machine works to spin dry clothes. I highly recommend this product to others.

The clothes come out almost dry dry. Only lower portion is usable without wobbling/banging on sides
The top part isn't usable because of wobble, even if I hold this spinner down with my body. So, the realistic "capacity" is about half. However, it is quite fast, so smaller loads are not a real hurdle to usability. The claimed 22 lbs may only be possible if your load is totally balanced in the drum - wasn't easy to do.
