This thing is great, the family loves it especially during movie nights. We tried some of prepackaged kits that said they were for 8oz kettles but when we actually got them were only for 6oz kettles, through some math and experimenting I will provide you the amounts I use then I make a batch in our 10oz kettle using store bought items. (This makes enough to fill more than 2 of those large popcorn buckets and a couple of single serve) 1 and 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels 4 table spoons of coconut oil = 2oz 2 table spoons of popcorn butter = 1oz 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of flavored popcorn salt The coconut oil and popcorn butter equal to 3oz that go into the kettle. I warm this up in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds to get the coconut oil to its liquid state. As far as the kettle goes, I don't let it warm up much. I dump the oil in first, wait about 30 seconds, then pour the kernels, wait 30 seconds, then pour in the popcorn salt. Now you sit and wait. When it starts popping ALWAYS stay and watch it. Once you hear the popping slow down drastically, then turn off the kettle and dump it out to avoid anything burning in it (i've done atleast 10+ batches like this and nothing has burned yet, just the normal tinning). The popcorn comes out a little on the white side, but for us that's the perfect amount of butter to oil to kernels ratio that has the best flavor. I hope this helps someone out as I could not really find anything online like this. Also, make sure to clean with hot water and dish soap after every use. I use a bottle brush to get all the spots well, flip it upside down and prop the little doors open and let it air dry till next use.

This is not a quality machine. The glass door broke within 3 months.

We had one like it that finally wore out after 10 years, so we wanted to stick with the same reliable popcorn maker. It wasn’t overly complicated to put together and it just plain looks cool. The decorative lighting on this newer model is LED which is great. We popped a bag of popcorn and this machine was extremely efficient. This machine is awesome and I highly recommend it.

The glass door for the concessions is too short and won’t stay closed. FOUND METAL PIECE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX, NOT IN PLASTIC BAG WITH THE OTHER PIECES. STILL FEEL LIKE THE DESIGN IS BAD. I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THE PICTURE AND DESCRIPTION BETTER. Also, while you’re making popcorn, you’re standing in front of the concessions window, so your guest can’t choose their candy because you’re in the way. And, the storage shelf is facing your guests. It seems like it’s completely backwards. if your right handed, you have to lay the utensils on the left side not the right.

I thought this thing was going to be just a novelty, but it truly is a professional-grade machine that totally looks the part.
