Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Pet Carpet Cleaner with Anti-Clog, EX220UK

Used it as soon as I got it. Very impressed with the results. A bit heavy when it’s got a full tank of water. But easy to use. Only had to refill it once. Only did where we walk. Great sucking so carpet was not too wet. It has a dry only feature. The solution smells lovely. I used my shark hoover to vac the carpet before I cleaned it. And the cleaner removed so much crap. Cat fur. Not to big so easy to store.

I have been looking for a new carpet cleaner for a while, with having pets carpets get grubby. In the past I have had other popular makes both from recommendations from friends, but I wanted to do my research when I bought this time. I have shark vacuum cleaner which I am really pleased with, and also when the battery in my cordless wouldn't hold power their customer service was excellent. So I knew that side of things of needed would be ok. I eventually decided on this product because the price was within budget, I liked the idea of the automatic fluid distribution and that it switches automatically to dry on pull back. It was super easy yo put together - take off the tape, slot in the handle and you're done. The tanks aren't very big but that suits me as it keeps the weight down. I have found putting the tanks on and off a little fiddly getting them in exactly the right place to clip in but I suppose I will get used to them. The machines I have had in the past have been really heavy to push and especially pull slowly but this machine isn't heavy at all, it is also no where near as loud. The cleaning power of it is really good, I like that any hair and debris get trapped in a basket in the waste water tank so it is easy to dispose of the water without sending clumps of hair with it. The waste water tank is really easy to empty - none of those silly tipping it up and down and tilting it, the top clips off, the basket can be emptied (I put a plastic glove on to do it) then it is easy to just tip the dirty water away. The carpet is left reasonably dry, just felt damp to the touch, although I did go over it again with just the dry mode - a couple of hours later they were properly dry. I am really impressed with this, can't really tell the difference from when I had professional cleaners in. I did go over my hall carpet again with just plain water after it was dry to see how dirty the water was a second time and it was much much cleaner. Definitely recommend

I am so impressed with this product. It only arrived this morning, and, because I had a really nasty stain in the middle of my carpet, I decided to try it out straight away. I quickly read the instructions and dropped the handle in place.(Only assembly that was required, so it was extremely easy. The product is lightweight - similar to the Shark upright vac I already own, and about half the weight of my previous carpet cleaner. I must admit, because of its weight, I was a little concerned it wouldn't be as good as my previous carpet cleaner. How wrong I was. Filling it with warm water was easy, and then adding the concentrate. I gave the carpet a good vacuum first and then went in with the CarpetXpert. Wow! I thought my previous carpet cleaner had been good - this was brilliant. I have a light-coloured carpet and a dog with extremely big feet. (Yep, I am that stupid!) With the first pass, it was like a new carpet, and relatively dry. The cleaner has a warning indicator when the dirty water tank is getting full and switches itself off, which I think is a good idea. The tank appears to be completely watertight with no leakage when I removed it for emptying. And, ugh, the water inside it was horrible, dirty, bits of grit and dog hair, they were all inside the tank. The quality of the cleaning was fantastic, and the suction for removing the dirt and water was remarkable. Considering its compact size, the effectiveness of this cleaner is hard to imagine. I would thoroughly recommend it . I am so impressed I'm going to go and clean another carpet right now.

This a good carpet cleaner and does a good job. Its lightweight and easy to use. My only gripe is that the DWT (dirty water tank) gets full very quickly, you only get 3 or 4 minutes use before you have to empty it. Its quick and easy to do that, but its still a bit of a pain to have to do it so frequently.

I’m always sceptical about carpet cleaners, I’ve owned a few over the years which have either broken or underperformed, however I can honestly say that I’m super impressed with my new shark carpetxpert hairpro carpet cleaner. I have two dogs, a husky mix who is incredibly hairy and a dachshund who likes to cock his leg in places he shouldn’t! As a result of the pair of them, their hair, pee and general dirt which comes along with dogs coming in and out, my silvery grey carpet had become a kind of beige! I’ve been hating my dirty carpet for months now but didn’t have the available funds to replace it, but was so embarrassed about the state of it. Finally I could stand it no more and took a punt on this machine, and I’m so glad I did, it’s done a brilliant job. My carpet is back to its original colour. We found it a reasonably lightweight machine, it did need emptying and refilling a lot but we have a big room so only to be expected. Having a very hairy dog, despite hoovering regularly and also immediately before I used it, this machine did not struggle with the inevitable dog hairs which were left behind. The amount of dirt it brought out was unbelievable (so embarrassing). Having the dry mode was also a great advantage as it allowed to us to get as much of the moisture out of it after washing. I cannot tell you how much this machine has impressed me, I literally can’t stop looking at how clean the carpet is now. I paid less than £150 for this machine and it’s worth every penny and more!

Brilliant machine. I have two dogs who bring half the woods and soil in the house along with shedding. Previous machines have been stupid designs, difficult to clean and quickly clogged with pet hair. The basket in the dirty water tank catches pet hair. The machine clips together so it is simple to take apart and clean. The suction is strong and the automatic solution spray helps prevent soaking the carpet too much My carpet smells and looks so much clearer

Very good value cleaned my carpets really well water was really dirty I would suggest you give your carpets a very good hoover before as this picked up more and as a result got clogged and cut out several times which is a good thing I think would highly recommend this product was also very easy to clean after

Great bit of kit, I have a cat and a toddler that is potty training. It has done a great job of deep cleaning the carpet, it has a dry only function so you can speed up the drying time by going back over the area you have deep cleaned, I got this on offer(£140) and feel it is value for money, it’s not too much bigger than my shark vacuum, it is a bit heavier but that’s to be expected for what it’s designed to do, the carpet cleaner solution that was included smells lovely too!
