We started these seeds too late and underestimated the amount of space that they would require, so we sprouted them all at once. I am accustomed to expect maybe 20% of the seeds I buy online to germinate. I was very pleased that every single one of these sprouted. The plants didn’t make it but that was due to our lack of preparation and experience, but I have no doubt that these strong little seeds would have done beautifully. I will buy these again and start them the right way and fully expect to update my review with a note on how lovely and hardy the flowers will be.

Tried these specifics ones three times and yielded nothing but leaves that died and roots. Not worth it.

Love them, they are growing right now, very easy, would highly recommend

They sprout. Instead of trying to scalarfy them with sandpaper (impossible), on my second try I gently used an exacto knife. Worked great and they sprouted faster.

el 90% germinaron.....a veces tardan en germinan una mas que otra asi que dejen las mas tiempo y solo usen agua limpia (sin nada de cloro). lo malo es que ensucian demasiado el agua en. el proceso de germinacion, ya luego de tener varias ramas reduce 25%--50% la velocidad en que se ensucia (igual sigue siendo rapido)

WAY harder to do than you think! Doesn’t tell you you have to buy this river mud to put them in so make sure you get your river mud first and get the water all settled and then start germinating your seeds which takes about 10 to 15 days, and as soon as you put them into the river water in its container, which has to be huge at least a foot tall Just kind of makes a mess. The water does separate and settle again, but not what you expect. Minor just now getting above water and I don’t know if they’re gonna make it but if they do, I will post another pic.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT BULBORIUM is fraudulently representing their product as lotus flowers, water lilies etc. THEY ARE PILLWORTS. Amazon will not refund because it is out side the 'MONTH' allotment. How do you return smelly, rotting seeds that were planted according to lotus standards. THEY ARE PILLWORTS. This company and AMAZON is lying about the product they are selling.And since it takes a month to germinate and find out they're PILLWORTS you are S.O.L. SHAME ON YOU BULBORIUM and AMAZON. Amazon has regressed to very sloppy, unreliable service.

10/02/25 I bought these 30 lotus seeds in early September. Out of the 30 only 5 germinated and still have only one to two leaves on three of them. 10 seeds had holes in them, which I knew will not germinate at all. I followed the instructions very closely and now I am very disappointed with my purchase. I will wait a couple of weeks and update my review if more seeds germinate and if any have lotus flowers. Update on 10/20/25 All the leaves from the sprouted seeds turned brown and have wilted. In spite of following instructions very carefully. I have soaked 5 more seeds today. Hope I have better luck with these. Note: this time I have placed these indoors in indirect sunlight. I had placed the previous set under patio which gets 6-7 hours of direct sunlight.
