Absolutely incredible speakers. Installed these 62.11i infinity speakers in two GMC Terrains and they sound 10x better than the OEM speakers. Changed nothing but the speakers and it made an ocean of difference.

Having been a car audio enthusiast since 1989, this is one of the best sets of speakers I've owned and definitely the best sound quality for the buck. I just ripped out Rockford Fosgate PPS4-6 speakers which cost $90 per each speaker, plus a set of RF dome tweeters and I never liked the sound at all. The midrange was muddy and boomy and the tweeters were harsh. These Infinity speakers replace that setup and now I have quality sound. I am powering these with a Rockford Fosgate 4-channel amp rated at 150W per channel RMS. These speakers stand up to that power just fine. As far as installation, you get the speakers and grills, various screws, mounting plates, the foam gasket for between the speaker and mount. The depth is very thin to accommodate door mounting with power windows. The tweeter can be positioned to aim it as you please. The only thing I needed additional was Boom-Mat baffles. I recommend spending the few bucks to get these, as they will keep moisture off your speakers (from the water that runs down the windows into the door) and also keep sound from booming around inside your door. It just sounds better. I recommend buying DynaMat eXtreme as well, which is a bit pricey but will do two things -- improve your sound quality and reduce the road noise. It just doesn't make sense to install really good speakers without going this extra mile. Don't forget to also use Dynamat also on the back side of the door panel trim especially around where the door pockets are and around the area of the speaker. This will prevent the speaker from rattling the plastic and making noise. People ask if it comes with the speaker wire. No, it doesn't, and you shouldn't need any if you are replacing an existing door speaker. Cars these days are build to accomodate a good system. Back in the 70's and 80's cars only had one speaker wire (the +) and the chassis was the ground, and that one wire was way to thin to be used for anything useful. These days, they all come with proper wiring that you can easily run 150W without concern. In most cars, those speaker wires are also properly twisted for noise cancellation, etc. You should not have to do anything with the wiring.

Hey guys. I started out with pioneer TS series 5.25 and 6.5 speakers powered with a JL 6 channel amp driving them. They sounded ok, but after doing a lot of research on the infinity kappa line, I pulled the trigger and purchased the 5.25 and 6.5 kappas to replace the pioneers. I always thought that maybe the JL amp wasn't all that impressive, but after installing the kappas, HOLY SH*T. They are amazing speakers. They flat out scream without any distortion. Snares pop and cymbals crash with impressive clarity. The sound reproduction is amazing. Vocals and everything else sound fantastic. It never was the amp, it was the garbage pioneer speakers powered at 4 ohms as opposed to the kappas running at 2 ohms. Less ohms = more power!!! If you've been on the fence with these speakers, get the he'll off and get these babies ASAP. World of difference. This is coming from extremely hard to please and picky ears. In case you were wondering, I have the I infinity reference 3.5 speakers in the dash and those are nice as well. I will likely remove them and go kappa at some point so everything is mirrored. If your looking for incredible subs, look into Rockford Fosgate P3D2's. I'm running 2 10's on a Rockford Fosgate power 600.2 amp. It really brings the system home.
