I really enjoyed it, alot more addition to the lore of Lord Vader. Interesting how the Sith always stab you in the back. Great artwork and a really good story!

Absolutely fernominal ending to the beginning of Darth Vaders journey, this teases and sets up thread that will hopefully be answered at some point, it has done well to draw me and make me even more interested in my favourite character, then I already was, it is a great piece of story telling in the Star Wars universe, capturing Vader at his finest.

You know that Vader who mercilessly cuts through the Tantive IV defence like butter in the hallway scene in Rogue One? That's the Vader we have the ghoulish pleasure of seeing in action here. A man kept alive only by rage who views other mortals as obstacles in his quest for knowledge and power. We see the emptiness and lack of humanity within in a way not even the films can depict. Outstanding.

As someone who has watched Star Wars but struggles to recall anything of importance about the wider story or lore, I never thought a comic about Vader could give me chills, less make me tear up. It’s amazing.

5/5 Hands down the most beautiful and emotional volume in this series. It starts with Vader and his band of inquisitors snatching away new born baby girl of Master Eeth Koth. We jump to Coruscant and Vader requests, no demands a world for himself from Emperor, Mustafar, the ever buring inferno, where Lord Vader with help of sith lord Momin, constructs fortress Vader around an ancient dark side locus to open a portal to other side to fulfill the unfulfilled promise of saving Padme. Unsuccessful in his mission , he goes back to being the faithful servant of his master Palpatine. The whole issue featuring fortress Vader and the journey to dark side is a masterpiece by Charles. Must read for every Star wars fan.

Great comic that sheds some light on how Vaders mind works. Seeing the creation of his fortress was cool. The comic has funny moments and serious ones, great read and easy to get into.

Not only one of the best Star Wars runs I have ever seen, but an overall excellent work of dark characterization and cruel plotting. An apex of cynical and bleak storytelling, truly fleshing out the dark legend of Vader and how he came to be the most dreaded villain of all time. Absolutely required reading for anyone with any interest in Vader or Star Wars.
