If you are expecting a Green hojari ... you will be disaapointed like me.... probably a average to good quality Boswellia sacra.... Green hojari is a name reserved only for top grade frankincense.

I am not crazy about Frankincense, I generally prefer the Japanese stick incense. This Olibanum’s scent is nevertheless out of this world AND: it has created two miracles that I was not expecting in the least. A bad situation at home, my elderly mom was having nightmares almost every night: now all is gone, she has a happy face and doesn’t scream for the nightmares because they are no more, now she has a formidable smile, and having all her teeth in wonderful condition at the age of 92, when she smiles she lights a room. The second miracle (unexpected and freely given without us even praying for it) is that we became aware of mice presence in the basement. We called a professional exterminator and she (yes it was a supercool lady) she said that we have been lucky to realize the mice presence so soon, before it would have degenerated into a full scale infestation (God forbid) . So placed a ton of professional traps and today, the day after her visit, I saw 2 or 3 mice trapped and dead. So you see; I am now a firm believer in the power of this incense to ward off negative “things”, call them spirits, energies or evil eye. They do not withstand the power of this incense. All is clean spiritually speaking now. Mom’s face is happy and radiant, her intellectual functions are sharper than ever, and my depression is diminished day after day. Just think that I purchased this incense just to have a “nice scent” and I didn’t ask for any miracle.

I’ve been buying this Green Hojari by the pound for several months now as it’s been the best in fragrance and long lasting during prayers for the Evening Sacrifice. Something is off about this current batch I’ve received, first i noticed the packaging now says “Luban Hojari” but that’s not where the differences end before opening the packaging, I’m used to seeing a bright clear and clean light green resin through the packaging window, this product is a dark yellow indicative of a lower quality Hojari than what we’re paying for. The fragrance is that of Green Hojari, however it is considerably muted. I will burn this none the less, but i’d like to have assurance before my next purchase that the quality will return to what we’re paying the premium for. If you’re thinking of buying this right now, i suggest you search for other Hojari Frankincense on Amazon at a cheaper price because you will not be receiving what the seller is advertising as being Royal Green Hojari. Rating edit after burning this for several days, it smells nothing like the Green Hojari i’ve come to love, it smells exactly the same as the budget amazon brand frankincense, DO NOT BUY THIS IN LARGE QUANTITIES until the quality comes back to what it should be! The product you receive should look like the pictures in their product page, not dark yellow like in mine. If it arrives like mine, don’t even open the package and just return it!

It took too long before Amazon shipped it out or whoever shipped it waited ober two weeks before shipping it out and then it took another week before it finally arrived. Product is as described and expected.

I highly recommend this frankincense. I bought it for chewing and to burn as incense. When burned, the smell is mild, citrusy, and very delicate. It is chewy and slightly sweet when chewed. Helped with my joint pain instantly! And I am not exaggerating. I felt relief very quickly. I’m glad I took a risk and bought this. There were no bark inclusions or impurities. It is lovely, very opaque, and a light, sea green.when chewing, it does stick to the teeth and gums. this is actually very good as it has anti microbial properties that prevent and heal gum disease. I was able to find several studies that support this claim.
