I absolutely love this DREO Portable Air Conditioner. It’s honestly one of the best portable AC units I’ve owned to date. I use it in a finished basement, which has always been tricky to cool properly. In the past, I’ve struggled with other portable ACs not keeping up, especially because the exhaust hose itself becomes a heat source. Even when the unit is technically sized correctly, that hose can undo a lot of the cooling work. With previous models, I even bought insulation for the hose to try to compensate, but they still never quite delivered the performance they advertised. One of the features on this unit is the automatic swing for the air output. At first I wasn't getting the performance I expected and so I figured well I'll try the automatic swing and it made all the difference in the world. I had thought it was just kind of a gimmick, but as I read about what it's actually doing (from outside resources) I found why it makes the difference it does. This one actually does what it claims. It cools the space effectively and maintains the temperature without constantly feeling like it’s fighting a losing battle. The airflow is strong, the unit runs reliably, and it doesn’t feel like it’s straining all the time. I’ve only used it for one season so far, but up to this point it’s been wonderful. If it continues performing this way long term, it’ll easily be the best portable AC I’ve purchased. Based on my experience so far, I highly recommend it.

This is the best portable a/c ever! The sound sounds like a fan or sound machine. It also cools so quickly! The remote and bluetooth are a plus! I tried another brand but the sound was more like an engine. As I said, this one is more like a fan sound. I usually sleep with a sound machine but this takes its place. I was cool, had my "white noise" and slept like a baby. I am using this in the main bedroom. With temperatures over 100 degrees and cathedral ceilings our regular dual zone a/c couldn't handle just the upstairs! This has been a lifesaver! Not only did it cool but I didn't feel the humidity in the air either. I highly recommend this unit!

Worked so well this past summer. So hot in my apartment, but immediately cools to a comfortable temp. Window kit set up in my dining room and cools kitchen, dining, and living room. Heavy and sturdy. Materials feel durable. Remote works great and can control from my phone so I man walk into a cool house or keeps pets cool while away. Can keep an eye on indoor temp via the app as well. So glad I splurged on this brand. Ended up buying Dreo tower fans for bedrooms and they are awesome too. Believe the high ranked reviews, this brand is better than the usual big names.

Update: Dreo eventually contacted me and was apologetic for missing the support email. They were very courteous and were committed to working with me to resolve the issues. They even analysed the logs from my device to root cause the problem! I have yet to try their suggestion and will update my review again once I do! They also extended the warranty of all my dreo devices! Original Review: The air conditioner itself is good. It cools the room well and is not terribly loud. Though I have two complaints: 1. I'm using this in my baby's nursery and the Display and Panel Sound settings reset to "on" every time the air conditioner is turned off, despite repeatedly turning them "off". I expect this to be a persistent setting - it's annoying to have to adjust it every day. Forgetting to do so risks waking my toddler up in an otherwise dark, quiet room. 2. I tried to contact Dreo support over email and didn't receive a response. 3. They say you get an extended warranty if you register the product but that didn't happen - their automated email only indicated a one-year warranty.

This portable A/C is great. It does get cold and the remote is very handy. The exhaust vent setup included was easy to install. It is Alexa enabled but took a while to get it set up. My only complaint is if you use the buttons on the front of the unit to control it (Power on/off, temp adj, etc) it flashes “LC” on the digital display. I can’t find anything in the manual or online to explain what LC means. If you hold the power button down for several seconds it does eventually come on. So, without the remote it could be difficult to operate. 4 stars for that. I would love for DREO to reach out and explain this LC sillyness.
