I have a subscription to this product and absolutely love it compared to other packaged noodles. The noodles feel light and healthy in my stomach, likely because they are air fried, made with simple ingredients, and contain no preservatives. The sauce tastes wonderful as well. These are essentially dried noodles and sauce that can also be purchased separately at Asian grocery stores, but they are packaged into individual portions, which makes them very convenient. One review mentioned that one of two sauce packets can sometimes be too thick and not very spreadable. I agree. A simple solution is to add one or two tablespoons of the hot noodle water to the sauce. This tip is also included in the cooking instructions for the chili crisp squiggly noodles version. Speaking of which, ASHA squiggly noodles are very good, although I personally prefer the dandan flavor slightly more. My only complaint is the price. I originally found both the dandan and squiggly noodles at Costco for about ten dollars per box. I understand that shipping alone significantly adds the cost on Amazon, but $30 versus $10 is still a big difference. Even so, I continue to buy these noodles on Amazon because Costco availability is inconsistent and I am hooked on them.

The most authentic Dan Dan Noodles I've found outside of my favourite hole in the wall ramen place in Tokyo. Dan Dan Noodles is my favourite dish and I've always wanted to make it at home but I was hesitant to buy this on Amazon because nothing - even well known supermarket brands - have come close to the real thing. But I saw the reviews of this one and gave it a go. Glad I did. The noodles are the perfect thickness and texture and the spicyness isn't burn your tastebuds off hot but it's for those of us who appreciate a good spicy dan dan noodle. The amount of sauce and sesame paste was a perfect ratio to the noodles as well (I used the entirety of both packets). The noodles only took 5 mins to boil (they weren't ready at 3 mins) and then you just mix in the sauce packets after you plate the noodles. Only "issue": the sesame paste comes out almost as a solid and won't spread in the noodles even when they're hot and wet. I recommend putting the sesame paste into a a separate bowl with a small amount of hot water to get it back into paste form before mixing it into the noodles otherwise you'll have chunks of sesame paste in your noodles. Outside of that this is a 10/10 for me and I'll absolutely be buying again. Bliss in a bowl.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was craving Dan Dan noodles w Szechuan peppercorns & thought why not try these. Unfortunately I didn’t read ingredients list. Very expensive ~$30 USD for 12 pack of just noodles w wimpy seasonings. Where’s the pork & scallions? Zero mala, essential Szechuan peppercorns for Dan Dan flavor. Noodles weren’t exceptional, high prep required. Total failure to satisfy my yen. I’m being generous by giving this 2 stars, this might appeal to an uneducated palate.

The sesame paste was a solid block. You cannot simply add the packets to the noodles as the instructions say. The sesame paste was useless. They noodles had not reached their expiration date.

Delicious. Thicker noodles in a thick sesame / sweet chili sauce. Put a fried egg on top and you got a fine meal. Earthy, simple, delicious.

Good noodles. Inexpensive. My only and and major complaint is the sauce is terribly bland. Like, no pepper at all. Is it defective?
