Check Settings
Initially the battery was losing 25-30% of its charge per day even when 'turned off'. The expected rate is <= 5% in "standby" mode, less when turned off. This can be achieved by holding the power switch until a question appears on the screen "Are you sure to turn it off?", and under Settings --> General Setting --> Auto screen off to 3 min / Auto power off to one hour. iFlyTech were helpful in giving me hints in this direction - and these are instructions that might be usefully included in the Manual. Having the sound files in .wav format is helpful. The transcription accuracy is adequate. Avoiding a subscription service that's no more accurate is excellent.

Excellent voice recorder!
Wow! This recorder device is exactly what I needed for grad school lectures. The long-distance recording blew me away—I sit in the back row, but it picks up my professor’s voice ! The 32GB storage is a lifesaver for 3-hour seminars, and I don’t have to stress about cloud hacks since everything stays offline. The touchscreen is super responsive (way better than my old recorder’s clunky buttons), and I love how the AI noise reduction silents non-human voices. Bonus: The USB-C charging works with my phone cable, so I’m never scrambling for a weird charger. No subscriptions, no ads, just pure efficiency. Amazing Recorder with Free Offline Transcription I absolutely love this digital voice recorder! It converts speech to text in real-time without needing Wi-Fi, and it's completely free! I use it for meetings, and it saves me so much time. The AI noise reduction is also excellent—voices come through crisp and clear, even in a busy office. Super easy to use, no subscriptions, and works right out of the box
