Rock_30_Games DS Lite (Refurbished) - Incredible!
I ordered a Onyx Black (Color: Black) Nintendo DS Lite from Rock 30 Games based out of North Dakota via their online Amazon listings under the Nintendo DS Lite varieties. I had previously been fooled into thinking a DIFFERENT seller’s DS was refurbished, but ended up receiving a faulty unit. Upon receiving my order from Rock 30 Games, I was BLOWN AWAY by the fact I got an authentic OEM shell, buttons, GBA Slot cover, and no scratches on what I presume are new screens. Buttons and triggers were soft and clicky, like they should be. The screen calibration is great. The unit has some small scratches, but that’s only due to being loved I’m sure. Overall, amazing quality, and now I’m playing all the games I missed out on as a kid. [Don’t be fooled by other sellers saying “professionally refurbished”, and “unit has no scratches and looks perfect.”] (Ahem… a certain “Packaging” company…) _________________________ PLEASE choose Rock 30 Games, they stunned me, and I will be buying from them again. They know what they’re doing, and from my experience… they don’t do shortcuts!

Great device, no charger
Works great, looks great for its age. Expect some yellowing on the bottom screen, that is only normal with these devices being so old. Didn’t come with a charger though, which was quite annoying and mine also came with this huge label sticker on the back which left a huge residue and was a pain to get off.

You're better off getting a non-refurbished unit on Ebay.
This is the first time I've bought one of these Amazon Renewed items, so I didn't know what to expect. It looks like, at least on my unit, they replaced the shell, the buttons, and the screens. It comes with a stylus, a GBA slot cover, and a charger. The shell is obviously aftermarket, it says Nintendo, but it feels terrible and doesn't look quite right. The text isn't as sharp, there are injection molding defects. It squeaks when you open or close it. The stylus is hard to remove or place, and it squeaks. The GBA slot cover also squeaks. The buttons feel horrible. There is no tactility, they don't collapse when you've pressed them, they feel like solid rubber, and they require way more force than the original. The start and select buttons are almost impossible to press. Underneath the rubber membranes is a mechanical switch, like the original DS Lite, but it requires a ridiculous amount of force. The screens look like DS Lite screens, free from scratches, but the top screen on mine came with a dead pixel. The bottom screen is a bit more yellow than the top screen, but not bad. I can't compare it to my original DS Lite, because it's broken. DS games work, so do GBA games. I didn't play it much, I knew I was going to be returning it. I'm not saying don't buy a DS Lite. It's a great console. There are a ton of amazing DS games that you can't really experience elsewhere, it also plays GBA games, which is great. It's just that you're better off getting a used DS Lite from Ebay.

Looks nice, but does not function properly
Device looked nice, but card reader was iffy. Games would freeze up at times, and sometimes the system would just randomly turn off. Feel like the seller did not do the best job at refurbishing, by only focusing on physical appearance and not overall functionality.

Still one of the best handhelds ever
The Nintendo DS is a classic. Its dual screens, touchscreen features, and amazing game library (like Mario Kart DS and Pokémon) make it incredibly fun, even today. Great battery life, durable build, and backwards compatibility with GBA games make it a must-have for any gamer—new or nostalgic.
