Can these jars be used for traditional water-bath canning and fermentation, and do the lids provide an airtight seal?

These are ideal for airtight storage and pickling. The built-in food-grade silicone gasket ensures a secure, leak-proof seal to keep your contents fresh for months.

Are the metal lids rust-resistant, and what is the best way to clean them for long-term use?

Lids feature a rust-resistant finish. To maintain it, please hand wash and dry immediately with a cloth. Avoid soaking or air-drying in damp areas.

Do these jars follow standard mouth specifications for lid replacements and accessories?

These jars feature a custom wide opening (larger than 86mm). Please note they do not fit standard 86mm Mason accessories. We recommend using the original lids to maintain the best leak-proof performance.

Is the glass durable for dishwasher and freezer use, and can it be heated in the microwave?

Made of thick soda-lime glass, these are dishwasher (glass only) and freezer safe (leave headspace). To prevent thermal shock, we do not recommend microwave or oven use.

What types of food are recommended for this specific jar size, and is it suitable for long-term pickling?

Perfect for bulk dry goods (flour, oats, sugar) and large-batch fermentation like kimchi—extra-wide mouth enables easy scooping and stirring. Ideal for pantry organization and home fermenting.
