Sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommend. Also holds a TON of books unlike the fabric ones.

This 4 tier wooden bookshelf is perfect for organizing kids books! The assembly did take some elbow grease but was straightforward, and instructions were simple and easy to follow. As mentioned in the instructions, it's important to make sure you don't completely tighten all of the screws until the very end. It does come with the tools needed to put it together, but if you have your own screwdriver then I definitely suggest using it. The wood is sanded smooth, there are no rough spots or splinters and I like that the corners are rounded. It's quite heavy once assembled and though I'm not worried about it tipping, it does come with anchors to secure it to the wall for extra safety. The shelves have space to fit multiple books in front of each other (depending on book thickness). It's been a great way to display our books (we do a book rotation) and I find that the kids are asking to read them more often now that they can see the covers instead of just the spines. Really great quality and highly recommend this for little book lovers!

The three tiers are optimally spaced to accommodate board books on the lower levels and picture books up top, encouraging little ones to browse independently. Seeing the covers displayed like miniature masterpieces has genuinely increased my kid's engagement with storytime; he now gravitates towards the shelf to select his own bedtime tale. It feels sturdy enough to withstand toddler-level enthusiasm, and we anchored it to the wall for ultimate safety. It’s more than just a bookcase; it’s an invitation to imagination. This kids' bookshelf from Tohiasen is of superb quality and build. It was a really easy setup that took only about 20 minutes, and the instructions were very clear. There are 4 tiers to this shelf, and we were able to fit approximately 21 books on it. The detailed design on this shelf is what really stood out; it has a scalloped, cloud-like pattern at each level that is very aesthetically pleasing and makes the unit pop. It is a white-coloured bookshelf that goes well with pretty much anything. The slots are really deep, so they are great for accommodating even the largest books. The kids absolutely loved the shelf; it made choosing their favourite book so much easier and made the room much more organized. The bookshelf is made of pine wood and features slots at the top corners, making it easy to carry and move. You can also add the optional hook on the side to hang items such as stuffed animals, backpacks, or jackets. I was very much pleased with this bookshelf as a whole, and found it to be a fantastic addition to the kids' rooms.

This tiered shelf is made of real pine so it is very sturdy and a bit heavy. It was fairly easy to put together but there are a few tricks that it would have been nice to know in the instructions, like making sure that the side panels have the larger screw holes on the outside so the screws lay flat inside the wood and don't stick out. I only knew to watch for that because I read another review that said it. Other than that, it was easy to assemble and took one person about 45 minutes but it would be much easier with an extra set of hands. It comes with an Allen wrench which is the only tool needed. Once it was together, I was impressed by how solid and sturdy it is. It says that it hold up to 80 pounds so it will have no problem being filled with books. I think it looks quite nice and will blend in to most any decor. It is designed for children's books but I think it could be transitioned from a toddler to an older child or even a teen. Now that I think about it my doctors office has a similar shelf for magazines so I think there are lots of uses for it if you think outside the box. Mine will be used for books, hopefully for many years to come!
