When I use the standard rope fitting the end caps can get quite painful for exercises with heavier weights. when someone "borrowed" the one from my gym I looked for a replacement and spotted this - it's great, a bigger contact area with the hand means the pressure is spread out more and there is no discomfort Robust construction and materials, the stitching wont rip in a hurry so you can use the middle and top holes without worrying.
