Mostly aesthetic. Same paper tray, same cartridges, controls on 1300 are more button based, while 1500 is more internal menu based. Both are fairly intuitive. You should be able to feel comfortable after a few minutes.

No. It uses a specialized “photo pack” that combines glossy photo paper with sublimation color dyes

Q: How many prints can a cartridge do?

The starter cartridge has 5 prints, I believe. Refill cartridges come as a total of 108 prints, broken into 2 or 3 cartridges with paper included.

Q: How do you embed QR codes into the picture?

Use a graphics program to place the QR code into the picture, then print the modified picture
