Love this phone!
My 14 yr old son loves his Gabb phone! It is the perfect stater phone as he gets more independent but being neurodivergent, he is still too young for a traditional smartphone. I couldn’t be happier with this phone! I love all the safety features while still having all the fun apps and features for a teenage boy to enjoy. Not to mention the tech support is amazing! Honestly the best tech support I’ve ever encountered for any device I’ve ever had!

Great phone for kids
We are loving this phone. It works so well for what we need it to do and the photos it takes are surprisingly good!

Buyer beware — Terrible phone, terrible service
I carefully considered all my options in getting my children their first phone for use as a mobile house phone. This one seemed like the perfect choice for our family. I wanted a smartphone for the location tracking for when my son was off in the neighborhood and so the kids could learn how to text the way the majority of us do (as opposed to using T9 on a flip phone), and I liked that this was incapable of scrolling apps or unfettered Internet access. This phone was at a good price for Christmas and offered a free month of service, so it seemed like a good time to make it happen. Right out of the box, after setting it up and picking a service plan, I knew this was a mistake. It functions like a bloated old phone that can’t handle updates. On top of that, you have the option as a parent to add some extra apps from the website, and every one I clicked on gave me an error message and didn’t load, which is for the best because the battery life is absolute trash. This phone, right out of the box and with no extra apps or pictures or videos and without any serious use, cannot hold a charge for more than a day, and then it takes hours to reach a full charge. We have to charge it overnight to make sure it gets a full charge. I’ve been charged already for the first month of service, even though they’re advertising a free month. I was able to switch from a two year contact to month-to-month (because I don’t see this phone lasting two years), and I spoke to a person when doing so. The only reason I’m not pushing to return it is because my kids love having a phone & I can’t afford a better phone right now, but I do feel scammed. I plan on getting a new older model iPhone or Android and utilizing parental controls and apps in the coming year.

Does all it advertised!
Just as advertised!! Easy set up entering approved contacts. The GPS has been accurate and it has flagged messages that contained cussing. Great choice to provide some connectivity but still restrict internet access and social media.

A few downsides but overall gives what we need
This phone does exactly what we wanted it to do, that is call for help if needed. When my daughter passed away suddenly & unexpectedly leaving behind a 5yr old & 9month old had I not been there the babies would have been alone for hours before their daddy got home from work, because with his job he is gone anywhere from 36-48 hours. It occurred to me these babies are with only one adult 80% of the time. This phone allows the now 7yr old to call someone he knows and trusts if he needs help or in an emergency. The reason for just 4 stars is because I feel like Gabb is missing a few important details - #1 only one parent has “control” of the phone, it should allow for 2 parents. What if a couple is divorced and co-parenting?? #2 speech to text & text to speech need to be available! Our 7yr old is still just learning how to spell & read so texting is a bit of a challenge. #3 their “known glitch” of “Parent control” & “Child control” contact settings. For us it’s not a game stopper cause our child doesn’t know anyone else but for a little older child it could be a problem. We almost didn’t keep the phone for this reason, but decided it wasn’t a problem since he really doesn’t know how to add a contact (or know anyone else).
