Husband loved it
Let me just start off by saying that my husband is a big man-child. I don’t say this to be demeaning, just that he could sit and play with a toy for hours if it interested him enough. That being said, when he opened this for Christmas, we had a good hour sesh of light saber swinging and pretend play. We’re both pretty big nerds and, by extension, Star Wars fans. He’s wanted a workable light saber for a very long time, and when I saw this one, I took a shot. First and foremost, this is a very durable light saber, as advertised. The metal hilt is what interested me when purchasing, and wasn’t disappointed upon arrival. Very sturdy materials and seems it will hold up well for years to come and maybe even some actual light saber duels (haven’t tried yet). The light is very bright, dang near blinded me when he first turned it on. The sound quality is good, too. If you’re the type of person to skip over product descriptions and just go off reviews, here’s some things you may want to know: -Each light saber is only the one color you purchase it in. (I know this is as advertised, but ya know, some people...) -It doesn’t come with any sort of instructions, or at least ours didn’t, so if that’s the case for everyone, here’s some pointers. It has 4 settings, which are activated by holding the power button while the sword is “off” until a voice sounds indicating the setting change. The first 3 modes are just different sound modes for the light saber sound effects that you can change to whatever your preference is. The 4th setting is just the saber lit up with no sound effects. -It does not automatically make “contact” saber sounds when you clash it against something, say another light saber. I only mention this because some other light sabers out there do it automatically so this way maybe someone looking for that won’t be mislead. Anyway, each time you want it to make some sort of “clashing” or contact sound you just press the power button once. You just have to time your clicks right with whatever you’re pretending to hit (or actually hitting). It does, however, make the “WOM WOM” noise on its own when you wave it around (idk how to describe that sound so I hope y’all know what I’m talking about lol) -Can’t say definitively how long it’ll hold up against some actual saber dueling, since I’m making this review the same day of playing with it for only a few hours. We dueled with the thick cardboard tube it was shipped in and that didn’t hurt it at all. I guess it’ll just depend on how hardcore you plan to go. We weren’t being super gentle with it, but also weren’t trying to bash it so hard just to *see* if it’ll break. Just will need some common sense on that aspect. I don’t say any of this as “bad” things or complaints about the saber. I actually like it a lot, but I just wanted to put the word out on the features about it that maybe other people might not be so keen on. All in all, I think it was a very good purchase. My husband was very happy with it, and that’s all that matters to me. Sure, maybe some super, hardcore Star Wars nerd may not find it to be superb or top of the line, but trust me when I say that if you’re not one of those people, that you’ll be satisfied with its quality.

Was shook by the quality!
This saber is a great starter for someone wanting to learn! The color of the Red LED was very bright, the noise was crisp and not fuzzy, very lightweight but sturdy metal hilt and the blade was easy to assemble with the provided mini screws and wrench. There’s a few different modes so definitely read the instructions! This is going to be so fun to go with my Dark Talon cosplay this Halloween!

A simple and elegant lightsaber great for its price
I bought two of these for my son and myself: Red and Blue. I wanted to get something that would last more than your average all plastic saber. The grip is metal, the blade plastic (but seems to be the dueling grade and I expect for it to last). Comes with a rechargeable battery. The blades are single colored LEDs and they are bright and will show in day light, and the volume is loud. They also respond well to movement with sound and light. They also come with 4 modes: when the blade is off, press & hold the power button and you will hear (in a poor recording) 1, 2, 3 & sound off (or something like that). They all have different sound and light personalities. One feature I discovered that was not in the manual: Once the blade is on, press the power button repetitively and you will enter what I call a "locked-blades" mode: the led will strobe and will make a sound imitating two lights sabers "stuck' to each other. It comes in a tightly packed shipping tube with not fluff. What it doesn't do (but really, those are details): -The lightsaber turns on at once. The LED does not chase up or down to simulate a blade growing and retracting. -One button controls all the features, so I guess it could be cumbersome for some... but my son figured it out quickly and never complained about it. -No volume control -No carrying case, pouch or other type or storage solution. Overall, for the price, I think this is a great purchase. I am not a collector, just a casual Star Wars fan, so I assume any serious cosplayer would look at more specialized products.

Great battle saber
Light saber works great and appears to be durable so far, battery lasts longer than expected. Button is easy to accidentally press when using. I wish it used a standard charging port

Halloween Nightmare
My 12-year old son saved up his birthday money and allowance to buy this awesome looking “real” light saber, specifically to use as a Halloween prop for his badass Darth Vader costume. He’d saved and bought the Black Series helmet and everything. Straight legit costume and this light saber was going to be the cherry on top! He got it a couple of weeks before Halloween and didn’t even want to play with it just to be sure it was ready for Halloween! So today's finally the day, he gets the costume on about 15 minutes before our neighborhood friends started showing up for pictures and finally gets his chance to light this baby up! Works perfectly, bright with killer sound effects. He plays with it for maybe 10 minutes and turns it off to save the battery for when it’s good and dark. 5:15 and we are getting all the kids situated for a group pic and he tries to turn it on and nada. Nothing. No light. No sound. Nothing. I’m like shit let’s charge this thing while it’s still kinda light out and at least we will have for tonight! I plug it in and the light is green, which according to the instructions means it’s fully charged. A red light is supposed to come on when it’s charging and then turn green when it’s fully charged. I try all the obvious things like trying different usb boxes and different outlets. Still green. I thought well, let’s leave it plugged in and maybe it’s just an issue with the little indicator light. Went and did some trick or treating and came back a couple hours later and still green light and still won’t turn on. I contact Amazon support and they ask me to remove the blade from the hilt and plug it back in, yada yada yada. Nothing works. Short story long, I’m sending this piece of junk back for ruining my 12-year old’s (possibly last big dress up) Halloween. Luckily we had a cheap toy one for backup but the look of disappointment on his face was undeniable. You spend $85 on a prop like this, you expect it to work longer than 10 minutes. Zero stars.

Broke right away
So I bought three of these for my nephew's and was impressed with the quality out of the box but within the first 10min of playing with them one of the tips was broken off. I was supervising the whole time and I believe this one saber must of been weakened somehow during manufacturing or shipping because at no time were these used improperly to cause this. Otherwise I think these are great and they were definitely worth the money except the one that broke which I think I just got 1 bad one out of the 3 I purchased.

Excelente opción para tener
Excelente!
