Before purchasing this item, I searched the reviews to ensure I was not going to run into any assembly issues. I purchased another filing cabinet prior, with major assembly issues involving a trip to Lowes to purchase screws to fit and fasten the cabinet sides and drawers. This cabinet's reviews showed ease of assembly in 30 minutes by a reviewer and 4 plus stars so I felt confident in making the purchase. I certainly am not a contractor, however, I have installed showerheads, towel rings, towel bars, assembled desks, and filing cabinets. This filing cabinet comes completely unassembled in many pieces. There are 34 screws for this two drawer filing cabinet. Frustratingly, the 34 holes are too small on the filing cabinet I received for the screws to screw into. This has been reported to Amazon, who in turn communicated the problem to the seller. We are awaiting a response. In the meantime, the holes need to be made bigger or smaller screws need to be purchased. I do not have a drill, nor do I feel one should have to be purchased. Nor screws. Buyer beware. It may be a better decision to go with one already assembled, unless you have the tools to fix poor manufacturing. The frustration, energy, effort, and time is not worth the cheaper price. Standby for update after I hear back from Amazon and seller. UPDATE as of 4/5/2025 - Seller agreed to a full refund. Communication with the seller was quick, professional, and efficient. For this reason and the following, I have changed the rating from a one star to a three star. I was able to get the filing cabinet assembled by widening the screw holes. It did take effort and time but now that the cabinet is assembled, a huge plus for this item. I have purchased a Vasagle, Homsteel, and Kubohogar. The Kubohogar drawer specs for hanging file folders is spot on. The Vasagle and Homsteel drawers are a smidge too wide and the hanging file folders fall off the rails easily - at least for the Staples hanging file folders I am using.

This was an absolute pain to put together. The instructions didn't show that the back of the bins was literally in the dip of the front, and it took forever to realize. The instructions in general were crap. The paint chips extremely easy, some parts don't even fit well and I had to pry them into place. For all the issues with it, the price is unreasonable. After getting it all put together, it's fine, but I wouldn't say it's worth it.

Not a great quality. None of the screw holes were drilled to the correct size. The paint coating chips off easily. Holds the files. I wasn't looking to spend a fortune. You get what you pay for.

After 2.5 hours, I am unable to finish putting the drawers on the filing cabinets. The first steps were a nightmare as the threads weren't cut right, the cuts on the cabinets aren't correct. I was very pleased when I saw there was safety gloves. Unable to be used.

Unfortunately the vendor didn’t ship the item and didn’t have the courtesy to communicate any delay or ETA. dont bother buying this. Item.
