30000 BTU Swimming Pool Heat Pump Above Ground Pool Heater 8,000 Gallon High Efficiency COP 5.8 Energy Save 43% Smart WiFi Control 110V

Installed on a 7000 gallon 18ft round above ground, took a long time to seem to work (nearly 24hr) but pool began to get noticably warmer. It took a few days but now pool is staying where we set it at 88° in 60-75° weather. One note, is that each time it is turned off even for a few minutes the outflow does take awhile to return to warm.

The description does specifically say "Not just a Heater Cover". I am taking their idea that this is versatile, and I am expanding on it. The first thing I did was measure the dimensions. They were spot on! I do question the description of "heavy duty", though. It is not the heavy duty of the past. It is not lightweight, either. I would describe it as regular or medium duty / medium weight. They call it Oxford Cloth... "The Oxford cloth combined with a professional internal and external double-layer coating design ensures excellent protection and durability." It is fully hemmed. There are no holes in the seams, but the stitch marks left visible holes and there are really thin spots in the fabric. Regardless, it will still be better than if it was not covered at all. Besides, there is a large opening for the heat pump piping. This thing was never going to be 100% waterproof. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it good enough? I think it will be. Anyway, back to my project. I am going to take small bags of soil and humus (which are actually quite comfortable to sit on) and literally make furniture out of them. Benches. When I buy bags of soil, they arrive with far too much wood in the mix. If I leave it to break down for an extra year or two, it will be really nice soil. So, I need to age soil. But I don't have a place to store it. And I need furniture in my yard. So I am going to make the furniture that I want out of bags of soil, cover the bags with this cover, and call it good! Has straps and a rope to gather and tighten at the bottom. The rope isn't fused or tied at the ends. Seems like that is a flaw - because the rope will fray AND there is nothing from keeping the rope from sliding out through the drawstring tightener. Very odd. Looking forward to soil sales in the spring so I can stock up!

Best upgrade for my above ground pool that I've bought so far. We live in. The northwest USA and it can pull the pool up to 85 in no time (pool is 48" x 16')

Works as advertised. Performs best when you use planning and heat the water overnight. Heat pumps are a good choice for heating and cooling.

I'm giving this cover three stars because while it’s okay, it’s definitely not the same quality as others I’ve owned. It’s surprisingly thin and flimsy; I expected it to have enough structure to stand up on its own, but it just flops down instead. I can’t really say how much life I'll get out of it in the long run. I’m sure it will make it through one season without an issue, but it's frustrating to feel like I'll likely be back to shopping for a replacement by next year. It'll do the job for now, but I was hoping for something a bit more substantial for my outdoor unit.
