Montage fummelig aber lohnt sich.
Ich habe die breiteste Version des Bandes in einem Schwalbe G-One Speed 60mm Reifen an einem Mountainbike. Der Gewichtsvorteil der Reifen ist zwar mit dem Pannenband etwas dahin, aber es gibt leider keine anderen Reifen mit diesem einzigartigen schnellen Profil. Bei der Montage habe ich zwei Schläuche zerstört, die sich einmal in das Pannenband und einmal in das Felgenhorn eingeklemmt haben. Das Ganze ist nämlich etwas fummelig, das Band in Position zu halten, bevor man aufgepumpt hat. Mittlerweile bin ich einige ultra Distanzen gefahren, dh Gravelrouten & Cross Country Marathon 180km+ und bin sehr zufrieden. Der Antritt ist nicht mehr so spritzig, wie ohne Band, aber das Abrollverhalten ist dasselbe. Ich fahre die Reifen mit Maximaldruck, also richtig prall. Ich denke, dass sich das Pannenschutzband bei Reifen mit wenig Druck verschieben würde und zu sehr walkt. Das war mir vorher klar.
