It charges via most USB ports and dual LED indicator lights display the charging status. While the battery is charging, the LED is amber. When the battery is fully charged, the LED will change to green.

What's the charge current on this charger? It seems slow.

The charger has an input of 5-5.5V 3A and output of 4.4V 3A. The charging time is 2-3 hours for a fully drained battery.

Glad I bought it

It is beneficial as I don't need to keep charging my GoPro since I can switch an empty battery to a charged one, especially when you're on the go where you have no time to waste. The battery does last long, except when I'm taking videos all the time.

Edit: Both batteries are bloated and dead now. Paid 5700.00 for these batteries. Expensive deal if we consider the price paid. I checked many videos on Youtube. Its a common problem with Gopro. If we have to buy batteries every year its gonna be a big blow on pocket. Go Pro is not doing anything to solve these problems. Sad and disappointed. ...... All GoPro add-ons by GoPro are super in quality but pretty expensive
