GVN Grip Extension Fits S&W M&P Shield (Both 9mm and.40 Cal) Grip Extension -2 Pieces Black

Got these, installed easily. They are perfect for Smith & Wesson m&p magazines. However, they fit on pro mags for the M&P, but the locking plate at bottom of spring is different. These are designed for the single small bar lock on the S&W mags. The pro mags use a dual button lock, but you can flip it and file most of the long bar on the opposite side leaving a small bar in the correct position to lock the extension on. The add says that these are for the Smith and wesson magazines, which they fit perfectly. The complaints I've seen were for other brand magazines based on their description of why they don't fit. Just so you know what you are ordering them for. For aftermarket magazines you may have to modify the lock plate on the bottom of the spring as manufacturer's use different systems.

Great price and adds extra pinky grip for the 7 & 8rd mags….however, it will not attach to off brand mags. This is for OEM mags which have only (1) depress tab to remove the butt /slide off the mag. My off brand mags have (2) depress tabs on the bottom of the mags, so these will not work for them.

I should have gotten these for my (2) 7 round magazines from the start. They really give your pinky a perfect purchase without the elongated profile and "printing" that you get from a longer magazine. Due to the fact that while in your holster the extra finger tab part is facing diwnward. Also makes for an easier grip and quicker draw from your holster, wheaten it's IWB or OWB carry style. It's well made and look and color matches the smith & wesson shield well albeit a little glossy. And It has very, very lite stippling to aid in grip. Super easy to install. Just depress the tab on the mag. Covery and slowly slide off the original one while using your other hand to hold the spring down so it doesn't pop off and cause the tab plate to go flying. This first happened to me and of course it landed behind the couch.

Just a word of warning, if you have the new shield plus, these will not fit those mags. The 13 capacity already has an extension. The 10 rounder is the one that needs an extension and these do not fit. These are for the old 7 round clips for original M&P shield.

Appears to be good quality. Color matches well. However, when loaded, leaves a quite visible 2mm gap. Does provide good pinkie grip.

Good fit

They fit my 9mm MMP Shield clips perfectly. Installation was simple and quick. Be careful the spring will want to shoot out on you. If it does you'll need to find it. It can travel a good distance! My first one got away from me. I was more careful on the second one. It brought a lot of comfort to my 7 round clip. My pinky finger fits comfortably now when holding my gun. It looks as if the clip was made that way. I'm very happy with my choice to buy this clip extension.
