Ingredients Whole Grain Sorghum. Directions Boil 1 part grain with 2 parts water for 25-30 minutes until tender Review: Great to grind as flour or use like pearl barley in soups or salads. - This is such a delicious grain. I love the texture and the nutty flavor. Reminds me of pearl barley and is pretty much interchangeable in recipes. I made a Mediterranean style salad with it and it was perfect for that. If you like barley, youโll enjoy sorghum grain. Review: Good product - Soughum arrived on time and was as advertised. Would buy again.

Adding to my white rice!
I add Japanese multi grain mix to my white rice for health reasons. But these mix packs, good variety ones are quite expensive, so I usually buy very basic ones, like the photo, and add other grains, such as Bob's Red Mill Sorghum Grain, to increase the varieties. This way, it becomes much much cheaper than buying premixed ones, and I can adjust the taste as I like. One note, sorghum take longer to be cooked than other grains, so I recommend it to be soaked in the water over night.

Healthy with no lectin
Sorghum does not contain lectin which was the reason I decided to try it in place of regular and steel cut oatmeal. Lectin has been known to cause inflammation which may lead to digestive issues for some vulnerable people. I'm not that fond of the texture of cooked sorghum so will only have it as just part of my regular morning breakfast fare.
