Why no plug but need to be wired?

The pool thermostat does not come with a plug as it is a high power device. It should be connected to a 20A GFCI circuit breaker. It is recommended that you find a professional electrician to complete the circuit connection.

How to do plumbing connections?

You have to use SCH 40 1.5" PVC pipe for the plumbing connection. A smaller size may result in insufficient water flow. If you want to use other pipe sizes, please note that everything should start with 1.5".

What kind of pump should I connect to?

Spa heater have to connected with circulation pump with power of more than 0.5HP rather than booster pump or submersible pump. Smaller pumps may not provide enough water flow to activate the heater.

Any tips for heating?

It's recommended to fill the hot tub with hot water instead of cold water and the water capacity to no more than 400 US gallons and to use an insulation cover to retain the temperature. Otherwise, it may take a long time or may not heat up at all.
