I am very satisfied with this electric infrared burner; it heats up very quickly and has enough power to boil water, fry, or prepare complete meals without any problem. It is portable and easy to move—perfect for small spaces—and best of all, it works very well with different types of pots and pans.

Item did not work. Plugged in heard the switch go on but no heat. Sorry and sad.

GREAT Hotplate - Temporary replacement of stove top burner while kitchen is being redone. Works very well. Yes - we easily boiled water with it. Wish for 3 improvements: 1) knob gets very hot during use and almost burns fingers to turn it off. 2) wish it had an indicator that surface is still hot as it takes a while to cool down. There is red light on the top, but it is always glowing. 3) The mark on the knob is too tiny to see how it is set. We just took a magic marker and darkened the line on the face and side of the knob so it is easy to tell how you have it set. FYI: Instructions say don't turn on without a pan on top of it. Has not been an issue. For our use, it is a great heating surface.

I bought this because my kitchen is currently being remodeled, so I'm using it as a temporary solution. However, I've liked it so much that I'm going to order another one to give to my mom as a gift. I love that it's ready to cook on in no time; it's safe, reliable, lightweight, and easy to clean—plus, it can handle many pounds of meat! 😂

The high heat on this burner is quite hot and heats a big pot of water very quickly. The low settings can be as low as you could possibly want. I really like the ability to control the low heat. Very good customer service.

I absolutely love the knob to adjust the heat - compared to buttons, it is fast and easy, and it is the sole reason I bought this unit. I think it is good value for the price. Unfortunately, I connected a power meter and it draws only 1400 Watts, well short of it's rated power of 1800 Watts. I have a major problem with false advertising where most people don't have a means to verify what is claimed. Minus 3 starts for false advertising. I put on a pot of water, and it heats up the water to the point where the water is steaming and producing a few small bubbles at the bottom, but it won't get the water to a boil. I can see the burner turning off and on at the highest setting, so I think some internal control is preventing it from getting hotter. Minus 1 more star. I will probably return this. It pains me that I might have to buy one that uses push buttons. I really wanted this to better.
