Exceptional Cocoa — The Best We’ve Ever Tasted I decided to try this non-Dutch process cocoa powder after seeing it featured on a cooking program, and all I can say is wow. One sip was enough to understand why it sells out. As a hot chocolate, it’s unbelievably creamy, deeply chocolatey, and slightly bitter—in the best possible way. We’ve been consuming organic raw cacao for over 2 years, including fermented varieties and much more expensive brands from Health food stores, and this is hands down the best-tasting and highest-quality cacao we’ve ever had. We only switched because our usual brand was unavailable, and I’m honestly so glad it was—this is a major upgrade. Viva’s cacao is smooth, rich, and full-bodied, without that harsh, biting bitterness that so many others have. It’s perfectly balanced. We often drink it hot with just water and no sweetener at all—it truly doesn’t need one. Sometimes we add honey or coconut milk, and it’s equally fantastic. It’s also incredibly versatile. I use it in homemade non-dairy ice creams and gelato, where it adds a luxurious chocolate flavor without overpowering fruit. I use it in puddings, in my hot lion’s mane drink, blended with coffee for an incredible mocha, and even mixed into raw organic chocolate wafers to boost cacao content while reducing sweetness. It performs beautifully in every application. What really sets it apart is that it still tastes amazing even when diluted or used as a secondary flavor, something we’ve never experienced with other cacaos. Great and very healthy product. It is not Cocoa it is Cacao which is unprocessed Cocoa. It is much more bitter and a very soft texture. I add it to my coffee in the morning. Highly recommended but don't confuse it with Cocao. Some canadian products will say cacao which is French for Cocoa. Don't confuse that either.

After finishing the Rodelle organic cocao powder which I purchased at Costco, I decided to try the Viva Naturals. I mainly use the cocao powder in my morning coffee because cocoa powder is rich in flavanols that boost nitric oxide production, which relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. These flavanols stimulate the production of endothelial nitric oxide and reduce its breakdown, leading to lower blood pressure and better cardiovascular health. At first I was disappointed because the Viva Naturals cocao powder is much lighter in colour than the Rodelle. After some research, I discovered that Rodelle processes their cocao powder with alkali which results in a darker colour and potentially lower antioxidant content. The flavour of the Viva Naturals is also milder than Rodelle but I'm using this powder for the health benefits more than anything else. As I am not a breakfast person, I add 1 TBSP of this cocao powder to my morning coffee smoothie along with vanilla protein powder, collagen, cream and butter and it keeps my appetite under control for 4 hours, minimum! Great natural product!
