My mom read this series to me as a child before I could read. Now I'm reading it to my 4 yr old as a bedtime story. We usually read one to 2 chapters a night. As an adult I have the same love of the book and I'm so glad I can share it with my child. The book is so funny and clever we both laugh about it. I highly recommend this series for young kids before they can read and also beginning readers.

I had bought the first book separately because I remembered reading it as a kid. I was going to get it for the neighbor’s kid when I realized there were two more books! I gave them the first and will keep the second and third for our son.

The media could not be loaded.  Please don’t be like me, and I purchased this thinking the other reviews weren’t as bad. The books are super faded, they have bent pages, the glue from the spine is coming off, and there is some tear in some pages. Also, as seen in the picture, there is clear peeling, and I just opened them.

I give as first “chapter books” to children age 5-7. Classic stories, beloved for 3 generations of my family!!!

Our child loves for us to read and re-read these chapter books. It's a great way to introduce your kindergarten child to love and appreciate chapter books.

My children grew up on these books and now my Grandsons are following in the same footsteps.
