The new packaging just says antiperspirant not antiperspirant and deodorant. did the formula change? is the clear gel not both anymore?

It only says anti-perspirant, but I have not noticed any changes.

Would the gel be better than the solid for sensitive skin?

It depends on what you like. I use gel, I put it on and wait for a few seconds for it to dry as I don't like the feel. I do prefer having the clear armpit than the white streak from the solid.
