These were meant for fruit with longer stems than apples and pears. There is a drawing of a mango on one side of each bag, which also suggests this. They are cumbersome to apply, frequently blow away, and they hide the fruit. Somewhat fragile, they tear easily. I have used Organzabags in the past with 90% success. With those, the fruit must be kept from touching the nylon; I have had maggots when this happens. So those are not apply-and-forget, but then, nothing is. Organzabags are also very easy to deploy and are reusable. I'm switching back. If you grow mangos in your orchard, these might work.
