Excellent Recovery Slide — Slightly Firm at First, Fully Comfortable After a Week
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been using the New Balance Fresh Foam RCVRY V1 Slide for about two weeks now — and while the first few days felt a bit firm and new, once they broke in (about a week in) they became exceptionally comfortable. From the get‑go, the build quality stands out: the Fresh Foam midsole has a substantial feel, and the massaging footbed adds a nice touch of premium comfort. It’s lightweight and easy to slip on, which makes it perfect for post‑workout recovery, errands, or lounging. The cushioning does more than a typical slide — it genuinely feels like something built with athlete recovery in mind. weartested.org +1 What really cinched it for me is that after roughly a week of wear, the foam softened just enough, the footbed felt more complete, and the upper fit eased in. That transition made all the difference: the slide went from “nice” to “wow, I want to wear these at every opportunity.” The break‑in period was completely worth it. Fit and sizing wise: I found them true to size, but if you anticipate heavier use or long hours standing, you might want to double‑check how your foot feels in the first few uses. User reports indicate excellent comfort especially for wider feet. In short: if you’re looking for a slide that pushes beyond basic comfort and really supports your feet after hard use, this one delivers. The one caveat: don’t expect instant “out‑of‑the‑box” perfect softness — give it a few days to soften up and adapt, and you’ll be rewarded with one of the most comfortable slides I’ve tried. Highly recommended.

Total comfort and support
These are great recovery slides. I love New Balance for the arch support and cushion. Be ware, the cream colored seem to not be true to size vs the black. Seems to be a manufacturing issue, I called New Balance, rep could have cared less! In the cream I had to order a full size down. I usually wear a W 9.5 and order a M 8. In the cream color I had to order a W 8.5, M 7 and they fit perfectly! I wear them everyday, have a pair in black as well. Had plantar fasciitis and wear these in the house to support my feet. Good quality, feet don’t slip. I highly recommend.

Soft and comfy. But not true to size. Size UP.
Slides are fine. Not true to size. My other sandals and shoes are all size 11, I have to order size 13 for this slides. Another thing about these slides is they have the honeycomb section where is stick out and firmer compared to the rest, I don’t know if that’s by design but it makes my heels uncomfortable if I stand for a long period of time.

Great recovery slides
I wear these slides for doing work around the house, and they're super supportive and comfortable. The cushioning keeps my legs from becoming fatigued, even after I've completed a morning run, but is not overly squishy. I tried Crocs for the same purpose, but Crocs really made my feet hurt. I normally wear women's size 10.5, medium width, in New Balance running shoes, and ordered these in size 9. The fit is just right. Happy I found them!

Bulkily stylish in a good way, wide footbed but VERY low upper strap not for tall thick feet
- Sandals are cushiony, sinking in just a little to a solid-ish bed but without feeling too pillow soft or mushy. Have Fresh Foam shoes and can confirm the feel is similar. - Textured footbed provides grip for soles of feet so the sandal doesn't slip around. Also provides a slight relaxing massage feel. - Look is slightly bulky but overall pretty stylish, making more of a fashion statement that an IDGAF flip flop or velcro sandal. - Fit is a hit or miss. Width wise, this sandal fits both narrow and wide (2E) feet. However, the height of the upper (clearance from the footbed to the strap) does not correctly fit the proper foot size. Feet two (2) sizes smaller than the stated size cannot fully slide into it because of how restrictively low the upper is. The strap stretches somewhat, but after a few weeks of use it has not "stretched out" and always gives a too-tight-on-top-of-foot feel as if you were wearing a shoe one size too small and pulled the laces unreasonably tight. If you can dig the look and have not-tall feet (sole to top of foot), this recovery slipper will serve you well. For those of us with normal height feet, look elsewhere unless you like an extra snug feel - three stars ***

Foot and leg relief for the heavily active
I put in a lot of miles running each week, both in training and races. I'd be hearing and reading a lot about recovery footwear recently and was a little shortcake, but open to trying out new things so I purchased these to try them out. I've had them for a few weeks now and I have to say that it has been a nice change of pace for my feet and legs. I now wear them around the home all the time. My wife, who plays a lot of soccer, has even taken to wearing mine and loves them so much I frequently have you steal them back from her and just purchased a pair for her!

Run small?
Poor fit. It's odd, I have three pairs of NB running shoes, different styles, all the same size as the slides, and the slides don't fit, they're too small. It's POSSIBLE that the problem is I have very high arches and these shoes, which are not adjustable, can't accommodate them. Or, the sizing is inconsistent with their running shoes. Dunno.

Soft and Cushy Recovery Slides
Some of the best looking recovery slides out there IMO. Fit as expected and easy to slide on, they give that cushy feel you're looking for. High quality in line with what you would expect from New Balance.
