Been a while since I drank Barry’s. Been trying tea pods for my Keurig and haven’t found any I really like. With Keurig you’re pretty much stuck with however it brews. But with bagged tea you can easily control the strength by brewing time. I like my tea a bit on the strong side, but also don’t want it to get bitter. With Barry’s I am able to brew it as strong as I like, but it never gets bitter or odd tasting. Since I received my order earlier today I had, and enjoyed, 3 cups already. It is an excellent tea.

Strong (in a nice way) flavor. Great tea to wake up to. Fresh and not bitter.

Barry's Gold Blend is the tea you would most likely be served in Ireland. It's a blended black tea and if properly steeped, it'll be the best cup of tea you've had (aka cuppa). It's not green, it's not fancy, it's just proper tea. A little pricey here in the US because it's imported. Try not to pay more than $9 per box online. Your local grocery store might offer sales if it has an international section (our Stop & Shop on the east coast does and we can sometimes pay $7 per 80 ct box). It has enough caffeine to start your day, yet I also enjoy winding down my day with it as it can be relaxing too. Don't get the small boxes - this 80 count size is ideal. Tea can get stale though, so if you're not using it every single day, keep your bags in an airtight container or ziplock bag. In case you were never taught: Boil the kettle, scald the teapot, add your Barry's teabag to the teapot, add boiling water, and steep for 3 minutes.
