Planet Pleasures Spiked Pinata Small 7" Natural Bird Toy

This is a wonderful toy for an African Grey. I got the large (17") and it is perfect for her. It is difficult to find a toy that is safe and lasts for more than a few days. This one has lasted about three weeks so I consider it a total winner. I plan on getting another one and will look at other toys from this manufacturer.

My African grey pretended to be scared of it for two days in its cage, then devoured it nonstop in a day and really loved it. The telescoping eyes were a great indication as each crunchy bit fell to the bottom of the cage was pure enjoyment. I was pleasantly surprised to see the whole interior is woven like the exterior, so the parrot really can have hours of enjoyment breaking this well-constructed toy apart. And it’s properly constructed so that it stayed attached the entire time without falling off from where it was latched. It wasn’t the biggest toy, but it was a great size for the price. The color and design were well thought out, and going forward it’s become the default style of toy I buy. It does come in a variety of sizes to for all sized beaks. There are no plastic parts, which is also great—just natural materials for my parrot to enjoy gnawing on and breaking apart. I’ve already bought an even bigger version to give longer-lasting enjoyment.

Our birds absolutely love these piñatas and we keep coming back for more after they’ve had their fun. Provide hours of entertainment and last quite a while.

I have been giving these to my Parrots for over two decades they are affordable all natural and last very long time. This is hands-down one of the best manufactures out there. This line is fabulous. The birds love them, the cost of a fair amount of money, and they last a long time they keep your bird, busy and mentally stimulated in challenge

I bought this piñata thinking it would give my parrot a little entertainment. What I actually purchased was his new mortal enemy and greatest love, all in one colorful package. The moment I hung it up, my bird puffed up like he was about to deliver a TED Talk on dominance. Then he launched into it with the enthusiasm of someone who’s been personally wronged by cardboard. Feathers were flying (his), confetti was flying (the piñata’s), and I’m pretty sure he shouted a victory scream that translated to “I AM THE CAPTAIN NOW.” He’s obsessed. He attacks it, cuddles it, lectures it, and occasionally tries to feed it a snack. I don’t know if this is enrichment or a soap opera, but either way, he’s thriving. If your parrot needs something to destroy, adore, or yell at for hours, this piñata is the perfect emotional support frenemy.

This is, hands down, my bird's second favorite toy (just behind a roll of toilet paper). I make sure to keep these in stock at home. I've noticed that when he doesn't have a pinata in the cage then he gets depressed and angry. The extra-large is bigger than my goffin cockatoo and he'll spend a solid 3 hours clinging to the side of it and ripping it apart until he's finally exhausted enough to give up, with the pinata (while definitely worse for the ware) still holding on and ready for rounds 2-10! One extra large keeps my bird entertained for about 1 month (he plays with other toys as I cycle them in weekly, but this one stays always). Even after he rips all the colorful strips off, he then likes to use the rope in the middle to rub under his wing. The smallest size makes great couch-time foot toys. The medium is good for his play tree in the living room. This is an excellent product and I have absolutely nothing but praise for it. Get 2 of each size, you won't regret it. Oh and no, I'm not associated with the seller. I just actually love this product. So does my bird (who is ripping in to one as I type this).

Let me just tell you - this toy is much bigger than I expected. At first, I was worried that my budgie would be afraid of it. But right away he hopped on it while I was still trying to hang it, and started making use of it. He loves chewing on the hanging paper strips, and the coloured papers that are weaved in to the body of the toy. It's well made too, so I expect it will last a little while (which is pretty good for a toy that it meant to be ripped up). A+, would buy again.
