The Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Chicken & Brown Rice Small Breed Adult Dry Dog Food has been a solid pick for our little guy. This has been great for my little Maltese! His coat looks so much whiter, and I’ve noticed a big improvement in his tear stains. He loves the taste and has had no issues with it. Definitely sticking with this!

Great food for smaller dogs.

Before reading I do mention my dog’s stomach issues, I’m speaking on the positive for the brand and this particular item, so if you have a problem reading it, please go to another great review but know that this is a great buy for you and your small furry adult. I have a 15 year old Yorkie-poo and he adores this food. I use to give him beneful and pedigree years ago. Both for some reason made him constantly sick. My little man would eat then start coughing up mucus and throwing his food back up. He didn’t even want to eat his food, he would let it sit after awhile. He knew how he would feel after eating it and just said no most times. His his vet offered him to change foods that’s when I went from the beneful to pedigree due to people telling me how great it was for their dog and has less stomach issues. I did for a few months and It seemed better, less of him being sick but he still was very gassy. Then deciding to keep looking into stuff to help, my mom told me about blu Buffalo brand. She sent me a link to their website and a we went from there ( you can read up on different foods, wet and dry on their site) I went to the store an was suggested the small breed adult formula since at this time he was about 6 years old. We have never looked back. Within the first 2 weeks weening him from pedigree he was still a little sick but not as much. Within the month he was doing much better. I took him back to the vet a few months later an he was fine, no more bringing up the food or constant gassiness. He actually started eating up the food quickly compared to having to leave the food out since he would never eat when I scheduled him to eat it. Afterwards the food wasn’t in there more then 5 mins lol I do have to say that most ingredients in the other brands weren’t all that great for my dog and (Al lot of other dogs) so I do want to point that out but overall I can’t complain and I have a happy little furry senior citizen. Overall this is a great brand, I have tried the wet foods as well an since he’s older I do blend the dry up in a blender and give it to him. He loves it even more. Only con I have is probably like everyone else might have pointed out. It’s not about the food itself but the price. I know everything has gone up, but I use to pay about $24 for 15lbs now I’ll be lucky if I find one at $38. An Amazon has had vendors upwards as $45-$65 Which is ridiculous. It’s not about buying the best or buying what your dog needs when people are literally hiking up the price in general to help their pockets. This is Just for anyone that says the price is worth it for their fur baby.
