๐ง Seal with confidence, stick with the best!
The 3145 RTV Clear Adhesive Sealant is a one-part, moisture-curing, non-flow silicone designed for high-strength sealing and electrical insulation. Rated to MIL-A-46146 standards, it offers exceptional tensile strength (940 psi), wide temperature tolerance (-45ยฐC to 200ยฐC), and superior dielectric properties (500 volts/mil). Its primerless adhesion and non-sag formula make it ideal for battery packs, electrical boards, and housings, curing at room temperature for efficient, durable assembly.

Great For Electronics, Does Not Corrode Metal
This adhesive/sealant is a non-acetic acid version of clear bath-tub caulk. Application-wise it is a bit thinner in consistency, and does not smell of vinegar in order to "cure" it. The process of curing is via absorption of moisture from the air. It is used wherever you need to anchor electronics (both components and wires) to circuit boards, etc. and need to avoid the tub-caulk version from releasing acid and corroding the electronics or circuit board traces, etc. Perfect for repair of large circuit board components that can break free due to vibration - such as big capacitors on powered speaker circuit boards. Use to to join components to each other and to the board. Once opened, even though you seal it tightly (and EVERY time I try to do it carefully, the cap cracks! Every!), a decent amount of it near the tip will have been exposed to the air and will "cure"/harden in the front of the tube. There is no way around this. You just have to work with it quickly and re-cap it to limit the amount hardened in the top of the tube. Eventually, it will work all the way down to 1/2 of the tube. It will require removing the hardened plug to gain access to the remaining useable section. A surgical scalpel blade does it neatly, and a drill-bit works too - but cleaning it off afterwards is not easy! A note of use caution. Since this product requires "activation" with ambient humidity/moisture, you cannot place very large, gobs of material in position and expect it to cure, even overnight. For thicknesses greater than 1/2" you should layer it on. It takes a full day to fully cure and become relatively tough. It does NOT harden. It becomes tough/rubbery. If you need something that has more toughness/rigidity (but still not hard), use RTV3140 which is grey in color. No solvent will remove this stuff. None. Once cured, you need a razor blade to remove it. There is no better product on the market for electronics work.

Excellent glue, using it on some outside statues to repair them.
Excellent glue, using it on some outside statues to repair them. The end of the mermaids tail in the picture I put back on using a stick inside the tail with this glue. The larger crack above is from another glue that isn't water resistant enough. It was stable enough to put back by the waterfall in about 2 hours. Since it is waterproof, should last a long time. Only reason I removed a star is the packaging, after you have used it once and resealed it you end up with a plug of the glue you have to remove. I'm planning on using it to do a repair of the repair on the larger crack. I think the price is about right for the functionality and ease of use.

Strong, Flexible, and Built for Tough Jobs
I have used the adhesive one only, but am looking to use it more often in the short term, it seems like a solid product. Itโs a clear RTV silicone sealant thatโs made for electrical, battery, and housing applications, and itโs rated to military standards. That alone makes me feel confident itโs built for durability and long-term use. What stands out is that itโs non-sagging, so you can apply it on vertical or overhead surfaces without worrying about it running. It also cures at room temperature and doesnโt need a primer for most materials, which should make application easier. The sealant is flexible once cured, which means it can handle vibration, movement, and temperature changes without cracking. Itโs also rated for a wide temperature range and has good dielectric strength, so it doubles as a moisture seal and an electrical insulator. That makes it versatile for both mechanical and electronic work. The only thing to keep in mind is that curing can take some time, especially in deeper sections, so giving it a full day or more before stressing the bond will likely give the best results. Overall, this looks like a high-quality adhesive for serious jobs. Iโll be interested to see how it performs after more use, but based on the specs and reputation, it seems like a dependable option.

Dowsil 3145 RTV
Great product from a trusted brand. Box came a bit crumpled but inner packaging was fine. May be a bit expensive here but not unreasonable. Easy to use and functions like it should.

High quality adhesive
Adhesive comes packaged with an application nozzle. It is not too thick but thick enough to not run everywhere. Glued two pieces of wood and two pieces of plastic. The cure time for me at room temperature was 45 minutes to 1 hour. The bond was secure especially on plastic. This is a very high grade adhesive and works extremely well.

Perfect for building batteries.
I have a few battery spot welders and occasionally find myself building a battery pack for one thing or another. By far, this is the best stuff on the market to seal those packs to prevent water ingress. As one reviewer stated, once you open it, it tends to dry itself out very quickly. I found a way around that, but it requires a few things. You will need a glass mason jar large enough for the tube, and you'll need a mason jar vacuum sealer. Once you've used as much sealant as you need, cap it and put it in the mason jar and then vacuum seal it. This will help it last as long as possible and greatly extends the lifespan after you open it. This is high quality stuff, some of the best, and I highly recommend it if you need to seal battery packs or other electronics from the elements. 5 stars.

A weeeweee(way) over priced
The silicon grease was as expected. Good quality and nothing really to complain about. I used it to lubricate the glass sliding door. It did the job.
