I love these gloves! Fit is perfect. Stops stabs from thorny plants. Protects upper arms from scratches and irritation when dealing with branches, plants and thorns. They aren't water resistant, but very comfortable and durable. I don't clean them. I have medium- large sized hands. The size chart is accurate. (Suggested Medium) I've worn these about 4 days pet week for the last 4 months. Held up great! I will be buying again.

Excellent X Large Gloves. They are tall enough to protect on entire arm. Highly recommended for garden work when you have to deal with poison ivy hidden inside your large bushes.

I am always worried when I buy gardening gloves to work in because I have very small hands, and if they are too big, it makes weeding, planting, grasping a branch, etc., difficult if not impossible. I used the sizing chart offered and ordered the extra-small. These fit like, pardon the pun, gloves! And are they comfortable! The butter-soft quality of this leather was understated by the seller. These are excellent quality gloves, beautiful colors, and I was almost afraid to work in them, afraid to get them dirty. So far, the "sticker" bushes I've been pulling have not penetrated the leather. (Large thorns I handle with pliers anyway.) I will be ordering a spare pair for when I inevitably wear out these. Highly-recommend!

Very good protection while working with plants with thorn, although some strong thorns did pierce through. The regular one is little too tight for bigger hands especially at the wrist. Extension goes upto elbow and is rough and protects well while moving branches with thorns. Can be dried or cleaned after use. So far just the smell of leather, prolonged use would probably tell. Material has enough traction to hold and grip tools while working with them.

These are amazing, thick, soft, durable, vibrant green exactly as pictured, long enough to guard my forearms from further harm! and I can’t wait to use them while pruning. The fingers seem a little short, tight, and stiff, but I’m hoping as the leather loosens up with use this will be a near perfect fit. If I’d gotten a larger size, I believe the hand area would be too large overall. I felt these were a good bargain for the price.

I think these gloves are a great value given their durability, performance, and much lower price in comparison to similar gloves. They've helped me get a ton of work done without any delays caused by inadequate hand and forearm protection. I'm now considering buying a 2nd pair because I'm worried I'm going wear out my current ones. I honestly did not expect these to hold up so well. I'm well ahead of schedule with all the outdoor work I have planned. I'd hate to have to slow down to wait for a replacement should these gloves finally give out before I'm done. So far, these gloves have worked extremely well to protect my hands and forearms from thorns, splinters, scratches, bug bites, dirt, debri, rust, contact with filthy items, and even a bite from a random chicken. I've already used them to clear a ton of overgrown blackberry vines and a massive pile of brush comprised of tree limbs, sharp sticks, pine needles, pieces of wire fencing, old splintery wood, rotted fence posts with rusty nails and other metal pieces, thorny vines, extremely tough and wiry vines, various organic matter left by ferral chickens and cats, messy spider webs, random trash, etc. I cleared all of these things by hand, using only hand tools (i.e., shears, loppers, pruning saws, machete, rakes; no power tools or machinery). I only got pricked thru the gloves twice during all of that work! The first time was because I had an excessively tight grip on a bundle of thick and dangerously thorny blackberry vines. (I got overly confident after being so well-protected by these gloves.) Still, that one prick wasn't enough to draw blood or even leave a mark on my skin. It didn't even really hurt. The thorn poked just enough to startle me. The second incident occured when a tiny splinter managed to find its way thru along a seam where one glove was beginning to wear down from repeated friction from using my hand tools. I didn't experience any more issues like this despite carrying on with the same kind of work and handling the same kind of materials over the next few days. (I think it was a very rare incident where the perfectly sized splinter lodged into the perfect spot on my glove at a perfect angle with the perfect amount of pressure. Otherwise, the seams on the gloves don't seem to create any vulnerable spots.) I haven't noticed any issues with thorns or splinters sticking onto the outer surface of the gloves. I saw a few stray thorns/splinters that looked like they lightly caught on, but I could easily shake or brush them off without removing my gloves or any special tools. Some very strong thorns have left visible scratch marks on the surface of the gloves, but no serious scratches. I've been cleaning these gloves by using one gloved hand to brush off the other before taking them off. And by occassionally slapping them against a smooth hard surface to knock off more stubborn dirt/debri. I used a soft boot cleaning brush to remove caked on dirt a couple times. This was after I accidentally left the dirtied gloves outside during light rainfall, causing the dirt to be slightly caked on once dry. Otherwise, I've just been making sure to remove as much loose dirt/debri as possible before throwing them on a shelf in my utility room or in the back of my vehicle. (Basically, I've just been trying to avoid leaving them in very extreme environments when not in use.) I haven't bothered trying to wash them. I haven't really done anything special to maintain them. I've never tried using them while they were very damp or wet. I have used them to handle damp soil and other damp/wet items. And they have been covered in wet grass for an hour or so. No moisture seemed to seep thru in those cases. As far as I can tell, the gloves haven't warped in any way, even after I left them outside in the light rain and for half a day in direct sunlight two times. Durability is surprisingly great. I've used the gloves maybe 10 times now for very long periods (3-5 hrs) to complete very rough tasks. Mostly to clear out a yard and alleyway that have been used as dumping grounds for various debri for the past 2 yrs. I've also used the gloves many more times for much easier tasks, like general yard maitenance and repairing a very old wooden privacy fence. I got a size medium. I never tried a small or large for comparison, but I'm certain the size medium is the best fit for me. Based on how the medium fits, I can tell my fingers would not fit into the lengths of a smaller size. Most of my local stores only sell rugged gloves like these in a size large and above. Large has always been way too big for me. Personal info for sizing reference: I'm an average-sized, slightly athletic female. 5'6 in ht, not too slim, but not overweight. If I hold out my hands so that my palms are flat and fingers are straight and loosely together, the width of my palm (just below my four fingers) is just under 3.25 inches. The widest point below my thumb (at the base of the thumb, edge of the bony knuckle area, and across the palm) is a little more than 3.75 inches wide. The length of my middle finger is just under 3.25 inches. Size small hospital/disposable nitrile gloves fit perfectly snug on my hands like second skin with absolutely no looseness, but no restriction of blood circulation... a size medium fits a bit loose all over, but are much easier to put on, are snug enough too not easily slip off, and are practical for most tasks that don't require a skin-tight fit. The size medium of these gloves fit great. At first, I thought the finger lengths were a tad too short, but just tolerable enough. After breaking the gloves in some, they fit better. The crevices between the fingers do not lay right against my skin (but come pretty close), which is actually ideal. This prevents me from getting blisters or friction sores in those areas. The gloves cover the majority of my forearms. When I need extra arm protection, I just wear a rugged long sleeved top. There's enough room to tuck the sleeves into the gloves. Dexterity is great for gloves that offer such great protection and ruggedness. The inside isn't lined. But sweat and friction haven't been problems. I can still maintain a good grip on items when my hands are sweaty. The material is tough, but not so tough and firm that your hands feel fatigued just from having to grab things. (They do feel a bit fatiguing at first, but that goes away once the gloves are broken in.) Don't expect to be able to write a neat letter while wearing these. But you should be able to grab most small tools just fine. After breaking these in, I'm able to grab and use a slim screw driver. I can't sort thru a tiny box of screws, but that's to be expected. The material is thick, which may make it difficult for people with larger hands to slip their fingers in the looped handles of small gardening shears and what not. It's a tight fit when I use my smallest shears, but not so difficult or uncomfortable that I care to remove the gloves just to use them. The gloves are very easy to put on and take off quickly if needed, though. I bought similar gloves last year that costed double what I paid for these. Given the price, material, looks, and feel of them, I thought those would be the best I'd ever be able to find within my budget. They were so disappointing. I constantly had to take time outs due to getting badly pricked/scratched or to remove tiny splinters with a tweezer. I ended up buying much larger gloves to wear over those ones just to remove a smaller patch of blackberries than the ones I tackled with these gloves. These gloves put the other ones to shame. Well worth the money. Even if they start to wear out before I complete my yard restoration plans, they're affordable enough to replace. And they really have allowed me to get ahead of my schedule. If they do wear out, I highly doubt they'll be worn to the point that I can't keep them for easier tasks.

Overview: Goat skin gloves are the best when dealing with thorns! Finding them affordably priced is actually the real challenge, but here they are. Now I'm actually looking forward to the dreaded task of trimming Agarita bushes, cutting prickly pear cactus, and pulling out random patches of sandburs (in Texas, we call these horrible, spiney things stickers). Quality: These goat gloves are super nice and of high quality. Yes, they're a little stiff at first, but that's because they protect from thorns. Regular cow leather doesn't compare. I really wasn't expecting such great quality at this price. They're definitely above my expectations, and I love the bright, sunny look of YELLOW. Fit: They're perfect. Some people report sizing issues, but I think that's due to lack of measuring. It's possible to run into a rare mis-manufactured glove problem, but doing your measurements properly is the key to good fit. For me, according to their measurement chart, they run true to form. For Handlandy gloves, I measured across my palm (as per their picture chart). My measure was 3.5". Their sizing suggests size Medium. The AI assistant provided more info but still suggested size Medium. The Handlandy web site has even more measuring tools for better decision-making if you're still in doubt. With all this available, sizing correctly really shouldn't be an issue if you spend 5 mins to confirm your size. BTW, size Medium fits me perfectly. Care instructions: There's an insert card with info about the company and care instructions. I chuckled at the part that reads "We thank our stuff, dealers and valued customers...". (smile). Care instructions are pretty much the same for most leather products. Genuine goat leather gloves are no different. When finished working, I usually beat my gloves against a rock or slap them together to dust out any surface dirt. The #1 rule about leather is don't immerse in water. Spot clean them if you must, but why? ...they're work gloves. Light moisture like dew won't hurt them, just leave them in a shady area to dry before putting them away.

I love these gloves. They are so easy to put on and work with them on. I especially love the protection they give me. I recently had to go to the ER for picking up a piece of aluminum in the dirt I was working in and ended up with a sliver of aluminum in my finger. (I am a piano player) I thought I got it out, but my finger got a blood blister on it that grew down my finger to my middle joint. My friend's daughter (who is an ER nurse) told me to go to the ER or you are going to lose that finger!!! What??? So I went and they gave me two full bags of antibiotics while I was in the ER. They then admitted and set me up for tendon surgery the next morning by an orthopedic surgeon. I was in shock. They gave me at least 2 bags of different antibiotics daily and some I had never heard of. They assigned me an infectious disease doctor. They gave me antibiotics for MRSA in the ER but then switched over to gram positive drugs. OMGosh! I was so glad they knew how to take care of me. I now an enduring physical therapy for the remainder of the year because it takes a year to get your true functionality back . I proudly wear my beautiful and functional gloves now when I work in my yard. I have been getting compliments on them too.
