Shelf stable until opening is a definite plus but the pesto itself was a bit odd as it is made with Brazil Nuts, Sunflower Oil, sugar, Citric and ascorbic acid, which caused this to have a very cloying and unpleasant flavor.The jar is adorable, I shall reuse.NOTE: classic Pesto is to be made with basil, pine nuts, salt, fine EVOO, garlic, Grana Padano and parmesan.
