Good, bit with low varieties

This is a very good toy. It is fun and you learn with it. I bought it for my two year old son and he adores it. You connect it to a computer and write the name of your child say Romeo. so each time you turn it on it says "Hello Romeo" you don't choose from pre-set names, you write whatever your child is known as say Sammy, Johnie, Kiki, Nikki, or any short cut name. It allows you to make that choice, so it makes the toy so personal for your child. It calls his name now and then. The email too is a brilliant idea. as we listen to the emails I composed to my son. he just beams with excitement! It is a good toy both for fun and learning. You learn have 26 alphabets with different 26 sounds of any musical instrument, 26 different sounds of different animals, 26 names of animals that begin with each letter of the alphabet and some music. How brilliant! and it celebrates the letter that begins with your child's name. The battery life is also good. It takes only 2 small batteries and really lasts. my little boy adores it and i think is a very good bargain and worth every penny. No regrets.

We got this for our daughter on a whim at 22 months and she was OBSESSED with it, and eight months later (at the time of this revidew) and she taught herself the alphabet just from playing with this Leaptop. No joke. I couldn't believe it either until she started pointing to large letters on books, signs, etc. and saying which letter it was. I kept this in the car and she considered this toy a special treat while we were running errands. I would much rather listen to Scout pronounce letters and sing the ABCs versus a bored, complaining kid in the back seat. Our 11 month old has gotten his hands on this toy and it's HIS favorite. He will root through a box of toys to dig this from out of the bottom. He can open it up himself and also move the yellow button (to switch from ABCs, Messages, Games, Emails) on his own. Since the toy goes to sleep on it's own, I've not had to replace the batteries. Cant say enough good things about this toy.
