Awesome replica!
Got this for my birthday. I absolutely love it! It does use a lot of gas though. You can get 2 and a half uses out of a canister. The toggle action works flawlessly and locks open when the mag is empty. The iron sights take a bit to get used to, But are pretty good. The gun is accurate at about 15-20 ft, great for shooting cans. I decided to paint the grips and end of the mag to look like wood and it looks great!

Defective garbage
Does not work at all. I suspect it came in defective because I have tried all sorts of troubleshooting to no avail. Umarex's quality control clearly leaves much to be desired.

Awesome Simply Awesome!!!
This was a complete impulse purchase and i have to say i'm glad i bought it. With the exception of the grips (which have a very plastic and hollow feel to them) it looks and feels amazing. It has a very nice heft to it. I have put maybe 5-6 clips through it and its a good shooter and has a nice little kick. It goes though CO2 like water so if your planning on using this with any regularity I would strongly suggest you go with the non-blowback version. I purchased this mostly to sit on my desk next to my replica colt 45 peacemaker. Its very hard for me to believe you can pick something like this up for less than $100. I am 100% satisfied with the Umarex Legends P.08

my favorite pistol
I have several and this is the winner. Wow. it's got the real deal feel. It's cool as heck. And it packs a punch. Accurate for sure. One of my BBs ended up in a solid piece of wood and won't come out so this is a not toy toy. Don't let yout kids mess around with it. Even when one bounces back this gave me quite a sting. Light trigger. Nice sights. Great design. The blowback is fierce so you'll only get through 3 clips. But totally worth it.

I have both versions of the Umarex P8
This will be short since there is a lot already written about them. Both are beautiful guns in appearance. To my eye they are virtually identical. Also true in weight, balance etc. The blow back feature is a nice aspect but it doesn't disqualify the non-blowback version for me. I cleaned and lubed the blowback version and it has worked flawlessly so far. I did the same for the non-blowback version and it has performed flawlessly as well. As mentioned by others, neither gun is particularly accurate and the sights are not the easiest to line up. I applied a bit of white to the front sight to make it easier. I can keep 5 shots from both pistol roughly within a 3" splatter target at 18ft. with an outlier here and there. The power is the large difference. In my fairly cool temperature basement the blowback version averaged around 245 fps and could basically only dent soda cans. The non-blowback version averaged around 390 fps and was a bit more fun to shoot for me. I am definitely happy with both pistols.

Eine waffe für den krieg
I didn't have the chance to field test it yet, but I can say that the air gun looks and feels great in the hand. It's an accurate replica of the P08 parabellum side arm, weights around two pounds with a loaded magazine + Co2 cartridge. The toggle action mechanism feels realistic and it's possible to take off the upper by twisting a pin underneath the barrel just like in the real luger. I assume it's not steel but some metal alloy made and comes with two black plastic side plates, which could probably be exchanged to original wooden plates if you want to go one step forward to make it look even more lugerish. According to many reviews it's not a super powerful air gun (300fps) The blow back system takes quite a lot of the CO2 cartridge...which is fair enough. In my opinion it's a great replica of a legendary firearm with some function to it...which makes it a valuable item to own. It could be a great prop for battle reconstruction purposes and in the same time you can have some fun shooting it...(which I'm looking forward to) Umarex released a few interesting famous/infamous pistols with a great attention to detail this is one of them.

Airsoft Luger
The airsoft Luger is a very good toy. It works well and it looks authentic. Remember, it’s only a fancy BB gun, but it beats buying a $3000 real one. The average person would not know the difference. It’s kind of fun to shoot stuff in the backyard.
