Cleared up issues my horse didn’t even know it had
When I was looking into ivermectin I wanted to find reviews from people … errr I mean horses…. who had used it for what my horse wanted it for. But I couldn’t find much, so I’m goin to leave a review like what I wish I could’ve found. Ever since my horse moved into a new apartment she started getting red patchy areas on her face and scalp- which has never happened before. And when makeup needed to be worn…well.. just picture a snake trying to hide that it was shedding by putting concealer over the peeling/ scaly skin. Gross that whole sentence was gross to write. I had read a bunch of studies on PubMed etc about the skin and scalp conditions it treats- and also posts elsewhere from other horses who had used the horse paste formula, for these reasons. From what I read, it’s safe to apply to the skin everyday. I applied it to the patchy areas- basically like you would lotion (less rubbing). It doesn’t burn or feel like anything weird- like you’d expect medicine on unhappy skin to. Then I waited a couple days since I’d read that the medicine does its thing immediately, but appearance-wise it’ll take a week or so to be clear. By the second day I could already tell that it was going away and by the 4-5 my horses skin was completely back to normal. After months of trying everything imaginable it took one application and only a few days for it to be smooth and clear again. Amazing. Ok but THIS part… I hadn’t planned on doing a parasite cleanse/ detox … on my horse… but since I had a full tube of this stuff I thought, eh why not!? I put a pencil eraser sized amount on my finger (as everyone else said they did) and shoved it in my (horses) mouth.. just trying to hurry and get it over with… but it actually tasted like nothing. I expected it to taste like lotion, because of my previous usage lol. I actually totally forgot I’d done this… until about 3 days later when one day I just felt like straight GARBAGE. BLEGHHH 😫 is the best way to describe it. My horses whole body felt AWFUL, like restless legs except it was restless everything, muscles aches, like when you’re super sick and don’t even know what to do with yourself- your body just feels like total crap. But having this happen without actual flu symptoms was very concerning. I thought I was DYING. I truly didn’t know WHAT could possibly be wrong with me. Then I remembered my horse had taken ivermectin. Since I wasn’t expecting anything to come from it, I had done exactly zero research into this part. And I still didn’t think that could actually be the reason for feeling like this. Turns out on about day 2-4, you get to experience a “die off” period. “As parasites, bacteria, and yeast are killed, they release toxins faster than your body can eliminate them, triggering an intense immune response.” Gross. SO gross. Google says: “Common Symptoms often feel like the flu, including headaches, fatigue, dizziness, joint pain, muscle aches, nausea, diarrhea, and skin rashes.” Yep that was pretty much it.. except that doesn’t mention how those toxic gases have to be released… it was not fun. And it said this would last for anywhere from 7-21 days!? 😳 Thank GOD it only ended up being SUPER awful for that first day. From there it was still not fun, but not nearly as bad as the first day. Just a ton of burping and bathroom breaks. Sorry, I know. I won’t even go into detail about that but…. Omg Eew!? Thankfully it was all over with only a few days later. And suddenly I felt INCREDIBLE. Like how I think I remember feeling in life once before lol… or at least how I expect one SHOULD probably always feel normally. I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to tackle the day gleefully. Clear headed, naturally energized, happy/ not super irritable VS the typical sluggish, dragging myself to the coffee maker, growling at my family if they got too close- mornings that I was used to. I can’t believe I had (a horse with) parasites… WHAT even from!? How long had that been going on for!? I just thought that’s how life felt, after a certain point!? lol. Couldn’t be happier that I did this off a whim… I will be repeating every year, just in case. I still have about 8/10ths of the syringe left also. Btw this stuff has the perfect consistency, taste, and applicator for both uses. It comes in a cough-syrup sized syringe that has notches in it according to weight, and a little ring that you twist up to the weight you’re dispensing for. So that when you push the syringe, it can’t push further than the ring is set to… then you don’t overdose (your horses). Bonus! Ivermectin for these uses is normally $300 for humans. But since it was for my horse, it was $7-8… absolutely worth the money…. AND the side effects even (not caused by this product obvi). If you’re still reading this, you’re amazing… but one last thing lol. Apparently ivermectin is also a great antiseptic, so keeping it in your first aid or emergency prep kit is a great idea. That is all.

This has saved my skin
I have had several skin conditions rosacea. Peri -Oral dermatitis, and now sub dermatitis. This has definitely helped improve the quality of my skin. I don’t know why more dermatologist don’t recommend this. It’s such an amazing product.

A Reliable Go-To for Worming
This is one of those products I end up reaching for without thinking twice. It’s a pretty standard ivermectin paste, but it’s consistent and does what it’s supposed to do. The syringe is easy to handle, and the markings make dosing straightforward, which matters when you’re trying to get it done quickly. As far as giving it, it’s about what you’d expect. Some horses don’t care, some act like you’ve personally betrayed them, but the paste itself is easy enough to administer and doesn’t make the process harder than it needs to be. I’ve never had issues with it being too messy or difficult to use. Overall, it’s a dependable option for regular deworming. Nothing fancy, just something that works and is easy to keep in your rotation.

He loves the taste and it works
This brand of paste has a great consistency and texture that my animal tolerates. If you have tried other jelly like pastes and have negative reactions this one is for you. A creamy white paste that despises easy and safe.
